There are troubling signs that more and more members of NATO are considering pulling their troops out of Afghanistan. The Dutch government has collapsed in a battle over the Afghanistan mission and Canada is considering removing all their troops from Afghanistan.

    • Why are you posting in Tech?

I'm not even looking at the link: wow, you really are good with the hyperbole, eh (Danish gov't collapses")? Sheeze.... Fool your readers once, then shame on you!

Anyway, aside from the fact that Taliban and Al Qaeda forces are currently there (duh?), and BO wants to at least try to attack these forces where they actually reside (instead of 1000's of mile away, in Iraq), you need to look at gas: Afghanistan serves as the most rational strategic/economic corridor for gaining access to gas and oil fields.

I'm not fooling anyone. These are legitimate news stories from legitimate news sources. Aren't you the same guy who said I was over the top on saying Iraq was about to collapse. Check out my latest story on how the Sunni Party is NOT going to participate in next months national elections in Iraq. Also, U.S. troops may be forced to stay in Iraq longer because sectarian violence is about to explode.
