Breaks my heart to see this horrifying scene. Tigers are such regal animals.
To know they're being starved to death after being enslaved makes me
regret being born in the same species as their cold blooded, inhuman captors. - 2 years ago

I wholeheartedly agree with you Presscore. These are the same so called Human Beings who think it's okay to stuff twenty dogs in a rabbit cage, torturing Man's Best Friend like it doesn't mean a thing before they are butchered and sold by the pound. I think William S. Burroughs said it best when he so astutely philosophized that "Man is a bad animal." I also pray the Clash were right when they said, "Some day a real rain will come and wash all the scum off the streets." I'm disgusted to belong to a species that's obviously gone mad and won't be satisfied until it's committed every unholy atrocity which makes Dante's Inferno look like a happy fairytale! Do you grok me?

by far one of the craziest things I've ever read. I can't lie, I wouldn't mind trying that wine at all. What if the wine really does provide you with something 'extraordinary'. And I do like the people's comments about freeing the Tigers--maybe they would like to find out what it's like to face a free tiger in the wild. I'm going to bet on the Tiger winning.

Why isn't anyone asking them why they're sales of Tiger Wine money isn't going back into their "zoo"? They must be loaded..
People need to stop pointing and hating at China as a whole. The'res just as many horrible things going on in your country as well.
Anyone else find that the article was written in a derogative manner trying to stick to the stereotypes of Asian people? ..I guess it was me reading to far into it again.
Fucked up exploit. Another one on top of the countless ones happening daily all over the planet.

Orkhaic:
I'm not sure how a story like this could be written in anything other than a derogatory manner, and for the record, when things like this are going on in the US, football legends go to jail over it, the US government tends not to add its' blessing, but that is largely because of public pressure.
I have little to no respect for the Chinese government, but this is not a result of hating China as a whole. China is a beautiful nation, full of beautiful and gracious people, as well as the kind of people who can and will do this to animals, not unlike the US.
I have no problem admitting I have little to no respect for the US government lately either.

That is horrible! And imagine we almost just turn a blind eye to things like this and their human rights record (i.e. giving China the chance to make a small fortune by hosting the Olympic Games) I know you can't go about bossing other country's about and telling them how to run themselves but come on!
China has a mass of things to be ashamed about, unfortunately we should just add this one to the list. - 2 years ago

According to the National Geographic there are more tigers kept as pets in the USA than there are remaining in their wild habitats in Asia; as many as 500 lions, tigers and other big cats in the Houston area alone. I believe the USA has approx 10000 tigers in captivity. Its a sad state of affairs, but thats how you make money, exploit everything and everyone.

Fucking rat bastards. I hope they choke on their shitty wine and croak. The Human Race is a sickening plague on this planet. Devouring anything that is beautiful and belching filth into the sky and rivers and oceans. Hate to be so negative as I am normally quite a positive person, but perhaps it is time for an asteroid to hit this place again so we can have a regime change for the better. Man has run his course and left a trail of disease, death, and destruction. Not to mention this abomination in the form of an innocent bottle of wine. If you have it in your power, you must fight this madness! FIGHT! Too many people siting on their hands. You won't do shit about it. Don't lie.

it's terrible, but as other posters have said; less appalling than the systematic institutionalized cruelty of the american factory farm.
if you eat meat that is not "organic" you are backing an incredibly destructive system - both to animals and nature. take the visible misery of the tigers and multiply by the invisible 100s of millions of livestock in factory farms and you get an idea.

What is there to do? Can these tigers be released? Probably not since they would not know how to hunt in the wild i presume. The only way to stop this crap is to find a way to change Chinese culture, send them free extenze and viagra packets.
Shouldn't we be equally disgusted with places like Sea World and Miami Seaquarium that keep killer whales and Dolphins in captivity simply to amuse children?

So wait, is this article actually saying that most countries outside of the West care little about animal rights? Shocking revelation if you haven't been paying attention to the world...ever... Hell it wasn't until the last half of the last century that Westerners began giving a fuck about other cultures let alone lifeforms of lesser intelligence. It's wrong, yes, but thousands of HUMANS are being treated exactly the same, if not worse in places like North Korea and the more lawless regions of the globe and we never hear about that. Which is more important to you guys, China's animal rights record or its human rights record?
