The Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about seven thousand years ago, marking the beginning of the modern climate era —and of human civilization. Most of these changes are attributed to the very small changes in the Earth’s orbit changing the amount of solar energy the Earth receives.
The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is very likely human-induced and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented in the past 1,300 years.1
Earth-orbiting satellites and other technological advances have enabled scientists to see the big picture, collecting many different types of information about our planet and its climate on a global scale. Studying these climate data collected over many years reveal the signals of a changing climate.
Certain facts about Earths climate are not in dispute:
* The heat-trapping nature of carbon dioxide and other gases was demonstrated in the mid-19th century.2 Their ability to affect the transfer of infrared energy through the atmosphere is the scientific basis of many JPL-designed instruments, such as AIRS. Increased levels of greenhouse gases must cause the Earth to warm in response.
* Ice cores drawn from Greenland, Antarctica, and tropical mountain glaciers show that the Earth’s climate responds to changes in solar output, in the Earth’s orbit, and in greenhouse gas levels. They also show that in the past, large changes in climate have happened very quickly, geologically-speaking: in tens of years, not in millions or even thousands.

I'm a geology major and YES climate change is one thing that is a constant on earth.

heres some stuff i found, its hard to find nasa's data, links lead to home pages rather than what you clicked on ect, but you can do a search for solar system warming, planets are warming, moons are warming up too, looks like its part of a long term solar cycle.

Here is a good link regarding your claim. You were incorrect about "all the other planets". Jupiter, Pluto, and Mars are warming but they are not experiencing the same warming trends that we are.

I appreciate your comment because it led me to another level of research on the subject matter, but it appears that the solar activity has already been considered in all of the expected natural climate models, and it does not explain the dramatic climate changes.

So we know for a fact that the planet is warming (remember that the oceans are part of the planet). The only question left is why. This is where people need to ask themselves if they believe in the theory of the greenhouse effect. If you don't believe that greenhouse gases alter temperatures, then you can go into the group that believes 82% of all scientists are hatching an evil plot to take over the world. If you DO believe that the greenhouse effect is a real, observable scientific occurrence, then you should accept the fact that humans are altering the climate by pumping HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of TONS of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
