Ringling Brothers beats animals!

Some animals should not ever be domesticated. I feel sorry for exotic "domesticated" pets because their owners are so out of touch with the nature of the animal, it's just an oddity there strictly for the amusement of the "owner". Humans are too stupid to realize that animals are not like humans, they are operating on a totally different wavelength. They don't care that they make you happy, what looks like a smile probably does not mean joy. Most people don't even know how to take care of their own damned dogs, so why do we think that we can take care of elephants, killer whales, or pandas? If we really find them so amusing, we should find a way to watch them without damaging them, it's not impossible and at least our kids may have a chance to see them.

there are ways to talk/train in positive terms w/ animals.. positive reinforcement training.... read .... Dont Shoot the Dog, by: Karen Pryor... good stuff.... no matter what species of animal you are trying to deal with.... humans included!

we know Ringling is bad..... real bad....... why do they still exist?!

I really wish those animals would act the way they naturally do in the wild towards the staff. Now THAT would be entertainment.

Animal RIGHTS is the name of the game, not animal welfare, and circuses that use animals should be banned. As animaladvocate just wrote, do NOT support circuses that use non-human animals.

Peta has been saying this for years. Finally I see it in some sort of mainstream media. Boycott animal circuses...only go to human circuses!

Is time for the owners and trainers from the Ringling brothers to get in there and perform for us.

Also, for every mistake they make, 50 lashings to make sure they don't do it again!

wouldn't it be funny to see these guys get picked up by aliens and made to perform before crowds of 'superior' beings and when they didn't do it right the aliens woudl do horrible things to them... ah dreams.

awww, that one elephant was so traumatized it was just going through the motions automatically. How sad! Especially the fat trainer who was hitting them with no reason...maybe that's how they keep them in line?

Oh well, I haven't been to the circus since I was a child and won't be going anytime soon.
