One more excerpt:
“ 'Documerica’s official mission effectively focused on popular but valid environmental concerns of the early 1970s: water, air and noise pollution; unchecked urbanization; poverty; environmental impact on public health; and youth culture of the day,' wrote archivist C. Jerry Simmons, in a 2009 article on the collection. 'But in reaction to the varied pollution, health and social crises, Documerica succeeded also in affirming America’s commitment to solving these problems by capturing positive images of human life and Americans’ reactions, responses and resourcefulness.' ”

Now the world's pretty much divided into people that wish to destroy everything (Republicans,Overly Religious people,Conservatives,Hicks,Careless idiots,Terrorists)& those who wish to make the world better! (Democrats,Liberals ,Open Minded people,Smart people!) It has become clear that no side can win without destroying the other! Sadly even those who are playing for the side of good are getting brainwashed by today's media! At this point destroying the whole world sadly might just be are best option! Given the way the world is these days, I'm shocked there was ever a time where people seemed to care about ANYTHING!!!

New meaning to the boomer generation in when the music died so did most of the ideals that they espoused so passionatly as youth and they became the greatest consumer generation ever self indulged, self entitled to whatever they wanted to take. A sordid tale to tell.
