Were the unusual trades being monitored by the CIA?
From the Wildeness magazine noted, "It has been documented that the CIA, the Israeli Mossad and many other intelligence agencies monitor stock trading in real time using highly advanced programs reported to be descended from Prosecutor's Management Informational System (PROMIS) Software. This software can be used to alert national intelligence services of irregularities in the markets that might predict attacks such as the ones that happened on 9-11. PROMIS was reported as recently as June 2001 to be in Osama bin Laden's possession, and as a result of recent stories by FOX, both the FBI and the Justice Department have confirmed its use for the U.S. intelligence gathering through at least this summer. This would confirm that the CIA had additional advance warning of imminent attacks."

Brokerage firms through which the trades were conducted:
The Independent of London reported that to "the embarrassment of investigators, it has also emerged that the firm used to buy many of the 'put' options ...on United Airlines stock was headed until 1998 by 'Buzzy' Krongard, now executive director of the CIA." The paper explained, "Until 1997, Mr Krongard was chairman of Alex Brown Inc, America's oldest investment banking firm. Alex Brown was acquired by Bankers Trust, which in turn was bought by Deutsche Bank. His last post before resigning to take his senior role in the CIA was to head Bankers Trust, Alex Brown's private client business, dealing with the accounts and investments of wealthy customers around the world."

SOMETHING THE 9/11
COMMISSION FORGOT TO
THOROUGHLY PROBE?[The following first appeared in Unity & Struggle.]
WHAT IS A "PUT" OPTION?
A "put option is a contract tat gives the holder the right to sell a specified number of shares of a particular stock, stock index or dollar face value of bonds at a predetermined price---called the "strike price"---on or before the option's expiration date. For this right, the holder (buyer) pays the writer (seller) a premium. The holder profits from the contract if the stock's price drops. If the holder decides to exercise the option (as opposed to selling it), the writer must buy the security. The writer profits when the underlying security's price remains the same, rises or drops by less than the premium received.

Debra Medina's 9/11 remark pushes campaign off track
11:51 PM CST on Thursday, February 11, 2010By CHRISTY HOPPE / The Dallas Morning News
choppe@dallasnews.com
AUSTIN – Debra Medina's campaign for Texas governor tumbled, and spent Thursday trying to right itself, after the Republican iconoclast didn't immediately dismiss a fringe theory that the Bush administration played a role in the 9/11 attacks.Medina was speaking on Glenn Beck's nationally broadcast radio program when the host asked her if she believed the American government had any involvement in the destruction of the World Trade Center.
"I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard," she replied. "There's some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I've not taken a position."
Her opponents in the GOP campaign for governor, Kay Bailey Hutchison and Rick Perry, were quick to criticize Medina's comments, as was the former head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency under George W. Bush.
"Ms. Medina – this is nuts!" former FEMA executive Joe Allbaugh, a Perry supporter, responded in a written statement. "If you really believe that there are legitimate questions yet to be answered about whether the U.S. government was involved in the 9/11 attacks, in my opinion, you have no business running for the governor of Texas."
Medina quickly clarified her radio statements, disavowing a conspiracy and saying she was caught off guard by the question. But the controversy threatened to be a serious misstep for a nontraditional candidate who has steadily gained momentum for weeks, thanks to strong performances in debates and a small-government, outsider message that resonates with Tea Party sympathizers.
"I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11," Medina said in a written statement distributed after the interview. "I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way."
She framed the issue as whether people should be allowed to question their government.
But during the radio interview, she equivocated when Beck asked her the question in several different ways. At one point, he probed, saying, "is that a yes?" that she believes in some U.S. involvement in the attacks.
"I'm not going to take a position where questions have been raised and not answered," Medina replied.
After she left the radio line, Beck responded that he had expected her to immediately answer "absolutely not."
The response from Beck, a leading national conservative host who is central to the Tea Party movement, suggested the damage the comment may have done to Medina's candidacy.
"I think I can write her off the list," he said. "Wow, the fastest way back to 4 percent" in polls.
In some polls, Medina had been rising quickly – garnering between 16 and 24 percent support in the three-way race.
Hutchison, who is almost even with Medina in some polls, said after the interview: "I know exactly who was responsible for the horrific attacks on Sept. 11 – al-Qaeda terrorists who declared war on America. To suggest otherwise is an affront to the men and women who are sacrificing their lives to root out the terrorists in Afghanistan and around globe."
Perry also issued a statement, saying anyone questioning the Bush administration's involvement should be "ashamed." He called Medina's comments "an insult" to 9/11 families and those in the military who are overseas protecting the nation.
University of Texas at Austin political science professor Bruce Buchanan said that although Medina was blindsided by the question, her equivocation came across badly.
He said that after the debates, she had momentum and a storyline as a smart, well-spoken outsider who was challenging entrenched incumbents.
"It changes the subject and the stories about her in a way that she doesn't need right now," Buchanan said.
With little money for TV ads and less than three weeks until the March 2 primary, it means she has few ways to alter the conversation and get her message back on track quickly.
"It is a mistake," Buchanan said. "My expectation is that she'll pay a price."

The 9/11 thing wasn't a conspiracy. Only tools like President Ahmadinejad of Iran believe that. We ALL know Bush Jnr and Co took advantage of it, there;s no secret about that, but they didn't need to plan it beforehand. Sure and sure they'd have been able to go ahead with the invasion of Iraq in the end regardless of 9/11 anyway.
For some reason people rarely ever talk about the REAL and OBVIOUS conspiracy to invade Iraq- with all those mountains of lies and fake evidence about WMD. That was an actual, real, genuine, in-the-flesh, 100% true conspiracy...
And yet people would rather focus on this tin-foil hat rubbish about 9/11! It baffles me! WTF is wrong with people? It's like actually having real aliens landing somewhere and introducing themselves, and being ignored because people are more interested in talking about their abduction butt-probe fantasies.

Yeah, Hussein had a bulls-eye target on his back for over a decade, as a thorn in the paw of Bush admin with sabre-rattling and threats of economic war (threatening to sell their oil using the petro vs $).
When the planets finally came into perfect alignment (WMD charges, US outrage over 9/11 seeking blind revenge for Twin Towers), the Bush admin had a gift dropped in their lap, and a window for an invasion launch opened (which is good, since they already had an invasion plan on the table; that's one benefit of U.N. sanctions, and doing all those over-flights in the name of monitoring).
Even a blind mouse gets lucky at times, and manages to find a piece of cheese.
But truly amazing how some would rather overlook the clear-cut PROOF to focus on unnecessary theories: wonder why? I just found the likely answer as to WHY Ventura is popping up just NOW.
Might it have SOMETHING to do with the FACT he's been making the media promotion rounds (including appearing on NBC "Today" Show a few weeks ago) to pump sales of his latest book called, "American Conspiracies" (the gov't does NOT want you to know about)?
Here's his promotional appearance:
http://www.hulu.com/watch/133364/nbc-today-show-jesse-ventura-tackles-%E2%80%98a...
(Watch his response when Anne Curry asks him what his goal is, in asking these questions: "My goal is that 100 years from now, I want people to know that not all of us BOUGHT (tapping on his book) the (gov't) stories".)
Here's a not-too-hard-to-fathom conspiracy theory: it's all about the $$$, HIS selling books for HIS personal profit (remember, Glenn Beck made $23 Mil last year based on publishing and selling HIS radio/TV programs). The book was 'co-written' with some other guy who did the actual work of assembling the drudge, but who didn't have the name recognition of Ex-gov Ventura: he's slapping his name on a product to sell. How the mighty have fallen: some Olympiads can sell Wheaties, while washed-up ex-entertainers like Ventura sell conspiracy theories.
So it's official: Ventura is jumping on the Beck/Palin/Hitler (HITLER? Uh, anyone remember "Mein Kampf"?) sales bandwagon to hawk conspiracy theory crap, instead of just giving it away for free on the internet (like Alex Jones has always done, but also is attempting to package into a product that he can SELL).
Like all of the shysters listed above, Ventura's trying to use his fame and name recognition as an ex-governor (Palin, anyone?) to amass wealth by selling his books to a naive public who's stoopid (sic) enough to buy them, once again not understanding the difference between truth and infotainment, news and editorials. Fox has made an entire EMPIRE out of such ignorance, so you cannot blame the likes of others to attempt to follow in their footsteps.
Fact is, for years many websites have been trying to figure about how to make money off the stuff they've been giving away for free: it's hard to put the genie back in the bottle, after he's been let out to wander for free for years. It's called commodization, and is something all publishers are scratching their heads over nowadays.

So out of honest curiosity what is the conspiracy theory? Is it that the planes didn't do all the destruction -- or that the planes were rigged with specific explosives that did more destruction than just jet fuel alone would have done -- or is it that somehow the whole thing was a bomb set off inside or under the buildings and the planes and the hijackers were just for show? Or is it simply that our government while under the control of Dick Cheney pretty much told us nothing about any issues of domestic or foreign policy and shot or bribed or killed anybody who did try to tell us what was going on?
I pretty much know/figured that September 11th was a set-up to get us into a war with Iraq and to control oil prices and futures but I am really curious to know what the deal is with Building 7 and the massive amount of destruction that the planes themselves could not have caused.

See, there's already enough ugliness behind the truth of Bush's lying and manipulation over WMD to NOT need to add "writer's embellishments". All that does is undermine the credibility of the theorist, raising questions of their credibility and willingness to stretch the truth.
Does anyone really think the Towers needed to collapse to incite a pissed-off American population to demand blind revenge? Of course not! Simply crashing planes into the Towers was enough.... In case you guys haven't figured it out, Bush was no master of the stage and screen, and theatrical events were not his forte' (as if that whole standing on the deck of an aircraft carrier to declare victory wasn't all the proof you needed).
The fact is, that latter part about adding explosives to the infrastructure so as to ensure the Twin Towers came crashing down is so outlandish and improbable as to make the theory rise to the level of staged NASA Moon landings, etc. No one who's in a non-paranoid "distrust your own gov't camp" needs to buy THAT book (although someone's going to be willing to SELL you the book)...
I'm pretty convinced that conspiracy theories fill a fundamental need of humans, to know something your neighbor doesn't know (exclusively). If only your neighbor was as "in tune" as you, then HE'D be aware. Theories also provide an ability to find like-minded people who will only self-feed others, reassuring themselves there's something fishy going on in the State of Denmark.
Conspiracies provide an outlet for idle minds to explain the motives of others, a sense of understanding the incomprehensible (to most of us, the idea of hijacking and piloting an aircraft into a building is beyond the pale). We seemingly have a need for hyperbolic explanations; they're an outlet for some otherwise-intelligent individuals to overcome an inferiority complex, offering some justification to feel superior to others, and still blame others for their own failures and short-comings.

There was a cover-up of 9.11. Maybe not an "inside job" but a substantial cover up for sure. We were not told the entire truth. heck, no one before being confronted with the fact of building 7, even knows it fell at all. zero coverage. Why? and don't say national security. As Immortal technique says it "government ties is really why the government lies.

And then an organized smear campaign against anyone with any questions. And they were hot on silencing dissent. stamped it out and shipped the rubble off to China right quick. Something about that day does not add up. And we were deliberately left in the dark. For most of us, it's easier not to wonder. and for some of us, it's hard to believe more people don't.

this is garbage. building 7 sure as hell DIDN'T fall like the "pull" of building 6. it fell at freefall speed straight down. basic physics dictates that steel and concrete can't be PULVERIZED and come down at free fall speed without a little help there buddy..
go back to high school physics.. you might learn something.
this video might help you connect the dots a bit better.

Well, then you should BUY the Jesse Ventura book. I understand those ex-wrestlers understand a thing or two not only about show business, but principles of engineering, with an intrinsic knowledge of physics.
PS oh, never-mind: I see you've found the "architects and engineers for 9/11 truth" stuff already.
BTW, all of those who'd sell out the 9/11 American victims for their own profit, by inciting violence against their own Nation, are absolute traitors. That guy who shot the security guards at the Pentagon a few weeks ago (and ended up dying, himself)? Yeah, he was a paranoid sociopath, apparently incensed by 9/11 conspiracy theory types to go take out "The Man".
Nice going, Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones. You both should sleep well in your feather-lined beds at night, if intentionally lying to sell books is your idea of national service?

The worst part of this article is when it referenced the war on drugs as a conspiracy theory. Gimme a break.
The war on drugs is an affirmation of the dysfunction caused by the war on drugs. Sure, maybe there are conspiracy theories about the war on drugs but there are a lot of legitimate stories and scientific studies done on the problems with the war on drugs.
Huffington does stories on 9/11, they just usually involve a specific case or instance of corruption. The problem is when the article takes a turn for crazy town are they to do nothing.
I am sure if the story was better written and referenced it would have been fine, instead of endless drivel from the mind of a man truly affected by the Truther movement. Last time I check they had the right to remove stories that they think are useless, even articles written by celebrities.

Yeah, it's not exactly like Ventura's article is NOT easily found on other places, LOL! And it's not exactly like the Huffington Post people are suppressing Ventura's "right" to be published on their site, as there is NO right for any web site (including current.com) to publish anything their editorial staff finds to be drivel.
Ignorant citizens often spout off how OTHERS suppress their RIGHTS to free speech, not getting that others DON'T have to grant them 'free speech' on private property. The Constitution couldn't be more clear when it says "the GOVERNMENT shall pass no laws".
Last I checked, Huffington Post is NOT the GOVERNMENT.
Clearly more drivel and nonsense fostered by those selling conspiracy and hatred of "the Man", selling "rage against the machine", etc. The same clap-trap being sold by the likes of Glenn Beck, with his xenophobic stuff.... The guy made $23 MILLION last year: you think he cares what he says, as long as people are BUYING it? Think he'll 'man up' and admit to selling such conspiracy theories, when it's made him $23 Million? Don't hold your breath! Alex Jones not profiting from selling HIS radio show and books? He drools over Beck's $23 million, and is getting his share.....
Like P.T. Barnum says, "there's a sucker borne every minute".
If ANY of these guys were honest, they'd be wearing the t-shirt above:

"The worst part of this article is when it referenced the war on drugs as a conspiracy theory."
Despite the popular misconception and the negative connotation of the word “conspiracy” , the term doesn’t mean “a poof –the- magic- dragon paranoia concept induced by someone that habitually smokes marijuana”.
The word Conspiracy means “an, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons.”
It’s more than fair to theorize that in implementing the War on drugs representatives in government agencies may have met in secret and planned to commit an illegal act.

Jesse Ventura isn't talking about any conspiracies theories. He's merely reporting on a petition that was signed by more than one thousand architects and engineers. And they aren't talking about conspiracies only about evidence that has been ignored. While I don't believe that 9/11 was an inside job you can't just ignore stories like this. Huffington Post should have printed the article and then found someone else to dispute what is being alleged.

Good point and well said. Ventura isn't talking about any conspiracies theories, but l do believe that it was a conspiracy and the evidence being ignored would overwhelmingly prove that it was an inside job. Why else would they be so quick to dismiss it ?

I dunno: how can someone quickly dismiss a person who said he discovered a vast and expansive race of whales living in trees in South Central L.A., which everyone else has overlooked? THAT'S how.
