Everyone needs to see this, and then do a little of their own research, and show this to their friends and coworkers etc. I wouldnt be surprised if they try to distract from his story... This is huge. Our treasury secretary was in charge of the NYFRB during this and was part and parcel to this whole process with Lehman. As im just finishing up on Andrew Sorkin's Too Big To Fail, this makes a lot of went on make a whole lot more sense.
When are people going to wake up and realize they have been screwing over the people of this country, (even worldwide: see Goldman Sachs in Greece) to make obscene profits. Something has to be done. - 1 year ago

Why were YOU asleep on this, and waking up only NOW? Some of us were noting all of this YEARS ago, and pointing out concerns BEFORE the financial collapse, and wondering when YOU'D wake up and realize you've been fleeced, too.
Now that the horse is YEARS out of the barn, NOW you want to do something? Wow, there's no getting ANYTHING over on you....

This also brings to mind the Elimination of Elliot Spitzer with a scandal, was also used to keep Congress under wraps with the illegal wire taps put on them by the criminals in the Bush White house. Gees I guess thats another reason why nobody has gone to jail for the Iraq war fraud.

I really think that people need to get past the fact that Eliot Spitzer got caught with his pants down, and look at the quality of the body of his work. He's not for sale and he never has been. That being said, I truly believe that this man, more than anyone else (Ron Paul included) is the one person that the American public can trust and rally behind to start cleaning up government and Wall Street corruption. He actually was in D.C. prepared to start an indictment against Bush, Chaney, Giuliani, and other heavyweight crooks when he got caught in the sex sting.
I say that we moved past that, and get behind Eliot Spitzer so people like Timothy Geithner and Ben Bernanke can be put in their places, where ever that may be.
2 thumps up on this piece KMo.

Good god keith we are on the same page indeed. Elliot was framed and we all know it. Although it was a bit on the odd side, his antics. But he was all over these criminals and we should let him back into the system and clean it up.

If Chaney and Rove are still walking around, it's doubtful Geithner will be put behind bars.

Well said FoosMaster, you do an amazing job of highlighting what is wrong with a Free Market system but you don't offer any alternatives.

A true "Free Market" means that everyone is allowed to conduct business any way that they want without regulation. In other words “Greed is Good” and it is OK to defraud any business in order to profit. The Republicans and Constitutionalists believe in “Greed Markets” I mean “Free Markets”, actually the first was correct. It truly is all about Greed! The constitution was written in a time that never would have dreamed of the type of economy our world now has and would have No way of predicting the type of laws needed to keep the banks and corporations from destroying the economy with their insatiable greed. The Republicans continue to point at the constitution saying that it said nothing about market regulations.
Have we not learned our lessons with the great depression and the current great recession? Stiff regulations are Needed to control the rampant Greed that controls the world markets and mega-corporations. We have seen that De-Regulation creates markets looted by Greedy Bankers and Corporations and I believe that Good Regulation will help to bring about Good Markets!
Those that have defrauded everyone have few laws and regulations that can punish them and they knew that when they were raking in the Billions in Greed Money. That is why they are not worried now about being prosecuted in any court of law. We need stiff Laws and Regulations to keep these Greedy Bastards in check!!! - 1 year ago

I say we beat him. Hell, let's dedicate a whole week to releasing unresolved stress by taking a bat to the skulls of anyone who doesn't feel like they need to go to jail for the atrocities they've committed. I bet by Friday, they'll be begging for jail because, well, I don't know about you guys, but I would beat them unconscious, fill all the orifices with icy hot, and sell them to anyone who would take 'em. That'll teach them.

Thinking anything WILL change anything about the system, when so many have profited by the corruption, is naive. Did you think any of this collapse was an accident? You mean the systematic dismantling of American resources for their own personal profit?
All you have to do is look at the unhealthy association between Goldman Sachs and the Treasury/Fed to see it ain't no accident, and HAS been going on for decades.
So I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Geitner to be thrown in jail, LOL!

Scratch half of what i said last time. This isnt a republican thing, free markets are an american thing. Democrats and Republicans can agree that the capatilist free market system is fundementally the greatest system in the history of man. Its only flaw is when mother fuckers like enron or lehman brothers decide to cook their books, hide their flaws and manipulate the trust people have put in them to make their money and collapse the system.
