The tortoise (correct spelling) and the hippopotamus are both such remarkable beings, aren't they? I always love seeing photos of animals of different species getting along this way -- the human animal species doesn't do so well, in comparison.

these are 2 very beautiful wildlife creatures that have been on this planet for possibly millions of years. They obviously know something that we don't, or something we've forgotten.

@Ethical Vegan & Keith ; I know where you guys are coming from, but c'mon, cut Maisry a little slack. I'm sure she was just commenting in relation to the usual "cute & cuddly" animal stories that we see. No fur here or cute little eyebrow expressions, just hard shells and course skin. They are beautiful creatures, yes, just as all of the creatures of the Earth are. But they are not the stuff of the usual "cute animal" story. That's the way I took her comment anyway.
