A new study suggests that men with heart problems may have double the risk of death if they also suffer from erectile dysfunction.

The research, released today, followed more than 1,500 men receiving treatment for heart disease. The researchers found that treatments for the heart disease did little to help men suffering erectile dysfunction, but the erectile dysfunction itself was associated with a death rate almost twice that of men not suffering erectile dysfunction, as well as a doubled risk of heart attack.

    • ED could be the cause of the heart disease! If mr. happy is not working properly I know it might cause me to have a heart attack.

    • "men with heart problems may have double the risk of death if they also suffer from erectile dysfunction." this remind me of a idea in human evolution that could explain why humans have a penis that inflates with blood rather than a bone as some other mammals do... partially because of how blood works in the body, and how a man with heart problems will generally have trouble attaining an erection due to blood pressure and correlated chemestry... basically a guy cant get it up, he can't impregnate a woman, so he can't pass on the traits of heart disease.
