Former Minnesota governor and one-time professional wrestler Jesse Ventura has run afoul of the Huffington Post’s no-conspiracy-theory policy, and he’s not happy about it.
“I can’t believe the Huffington Post today will practice censorship,” Ventura says in astonishment. “I’ve got news for them. … I won’t ever write for ‘em again.”

Ventura had posted an item on Tuesday which took note of a recent conference at which “more than one thousand architects and engineers signed a petition demanding that Congress begin a new investigation into the destruction of the World Trade Center skyscrapers on 9/11.” He also quoted a few paragraphs from his new book, American Conspiracies, to explain why some of those experts see signs of controlled demolition.

Huffpo did Jesse a huge favor. If they had left his piece alone, few would have heard about it. Of course, it is their right to run their site as they see fit.
I have a question about one issue that could be called conspiracy theory, but the NYT called "perhaps the deepest mystery" of 9/11 in an article by James Glanz shortly after the event. Only a single piece of steel was saved from WTC Building 7, to the best of my knowledge. It was studied by Prof. Jonathan Barnett and the results posted as FEMA Appendix C. Prof. Barnett found holes in the steel that appear to have been melted and perhaps evaporated by very hot sulfur gas. Some of the hot gas, as expected, reacted with the iron, forming iron sulfide. Prof. Barnett professed to have no explanation for where hot sulfur gas might have come from, nor how it became hot enough to melt or evaporate holes in a piece of steel. Some debunkers have caimed that the sulfur came from calcium sulfate in drywall. As a long-ago intro chem student, I believe that is a chemical impossibility. There is simply no way sulfur, or sulfide, can be generated from sulfate in a fire in the presence of any oxygen. There are industrial processes that use carbon monoxide to generate calcium sulfide from calcium sulfate, but they run strictly in the absence of oxygen. I have added up the enthalpy of formation for the products and reactants of the two reactions.
CaSO4 + 4 CO to CaS + 4CO2 is exothermic, but
CaS + 2 O2 to CaSO4 is much more exothermic, meaning any sulfide would go to sulfate in a fire as long as there is oxygen available, regardless of whether there is some CO available. Bear in mind that air is 20% oxygen and CO is typically present at less than 1% in exhaust from a fire. I challenge anyone to put calcium sulfate on a piece of steel, burn it in a fuel fire, and get iron sulfide...let alone a hole in the piece of steel with iron sulfide around the border. If I am right, this evidence is comparable to the suspect's fingerprint in the victim's blood. Yes, it is one small detail, but so is a fingerprint. There is no innocent explantion for Prof. Barnett's results if I am correct, which I am asking any chemists to evaluate. There is a "guilty" explantion that works perfectly: thermate. Prof. Barnett did not mention it. I speculate that he enjoys his job and wants to keep it. - 2 years ago

Ventura is a nutjob... Huffpost doesn't have to publish everything they receive. There's something called "journalistic integrity" that media and sites like huffpost are supposed to use (not saying they do all the time). Just because there are a few dots to connect doesn't make these ridiculous conspiracy theories right. I love how the same people who think our government is inept and can't handle healthcare or doesn't function properly yet in the same light, the same government bombed america and kept it a secret for all this time. What a joke. You watch too much TV.

So, I guess, by The Huffington Post's standards, They wouldn't have covered Watergate, Or the Iran/Contra scandel. At what point does it cross over? Is talk about Lee Harvey allowed? Could you talk about J. Edgar Hoover? Nobody believed the stories about him untill his files were made public. Some "theories" DO get proven. Is there anyone left who doesn't believe some of the crazy things our GOVT has done. Poison illegally aquired Native lands in California and Nevada. Test radiation effects on our soldiers.. Burn innocent children at Mt. Carmel, because their parents wouldn't come out.... Kill a mother on Ruby Ridge, because her husband was wanted.. Teach inner city drug dealers how to make Crack in L.A. .... Allow ex POTUS to cause the deaths of 3000 U.S. soldiers, and 100000 Iraqi civilians, to secure oil reserves from the growing compitition of China on the oil market. How did he get the ppl behind him? With a "new pearl harbor"? Which I believe, FDR had foreknowledge of (from the Australian Navy, a month before it happened). Break the two words apart and they are OK. Only when you use them together, do you get the exasperated puff from the Happy shiny ppl who can't face how ruthless our GOVT has always been..
