Anti-government protesters in Thailand threw blood donated from their supporters at the entrances of government headquarters in Bangkok on Tuesday as part of their campaign to force the prime minister to step down and dissolve parliament.

    • nice... protesters should do that to our government buildings. fill the streests of DC with blood and make all those war mongering politicians wade through it daily. doubt it would do much but I think they should be covered in the blood they've spilled.

    • Sure, you post an article about people protesting in Thailand, but what do you call Americans protesting our illegal wars, drug war included, debt, privacy rights, banker bailouts, police state, poisoning our water with fluoride and pumping us up with mercury filled vaccines, and I quote, "more wing nut lunacy for conspiracy theory ding dongs." How many anti-war posts have you put up?

I've created a new group called Conspiracy Films. Hours upon hours of "crazy," not right wing though, b/c if you know about the NWO, you'd know that they own both sides. It's called the Left/Right Paradigm, basically controlled opposition, sort of like the Yale Skull & Bones 2004 Bush/Kerry election, or the Gingrich/Gore NAFTA scam. Smoke a bowl (I just did) and watch a film or two. It's the Red Pill of information, it may even break you out of the Matrix.

CONSPIRACY? ON THE NEW WORLD ORDER?

      Open your damn EYES! WOW!

Do you NOT see what is going on at all with world news? Honestly?

      GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND!

I assure you, it's time to wake up before it's a little too late.

    • Hey, we can do that here, before the corporations and banks suck the last drop from us and from our great, great, great grandchildren. We now owe those institutions 200X our gross domestic project. And you wonder why our educational system has backed off of math? Our decline in education is not by accident, but by design. Thank God, you all (two words) do not believe the government BS about how bright you are.

    • It might be helpful to know that protesters are customarily paid in Thailand.
In this case, by former Prime Minister and media baron Thaksin Shinawatra, one of the wealthiest businessmen in Thailand, who is in exile for having ripped off the Thai government in unpaid taxes of billions of dollars.
Thaksin was formerly police chief in Bangkok. Decades ago he steered the Thai police mobile phone contract to his son and over time bought a large percentage of Thai radio and television stations. Imitating Rupert Murdock and Silvio Berlusconi, Thaksin used those media outlets (and lots of cash) to portray himself as a democratic man of the people representing the poor of the outlying areas of the north and east of Thailand. In power, he had Muslim insurgents and suspected drug users killed without trail by the police and military, and ripped Thailand off big-time.
After his exile from Thailand and attempts to extradite him from Britain, he skipped around the world for a while. He was most recently in Cambodia hiring friends in the Cambodian government.
Thaksin is eager to try and get back to Thailand both to return to power and to try and recoup billions in seized assets that the Thai Supreme Court found had he had illegally acquired at government expense.

    • I think what they did, if you read the article, was beautiful. It was showing that "it came from their heart" and that the "blood of the common people were mixing together to fight for democracy". If only this was the way blood had to be shed for democracy.

      Are you dumb?

She said "If only this was the way blood had to be shed for democracy."
      Key phrase: "if only"
That means she realizes "it takes more than throwing donated blood from plastic jugs to win freedom and justice"

Work on your reading comprehension and analytic skills, something most conservatives seem to lack.

    • That's a bold statement, but I agree... that blood should be put in good use. What's wrong with using fake blood? Good fake blood...? Cow's blood?

I understand what your saying, but throwing animal blood at the government isn't as powerful of a statement as throwing human blood. And even though the blood could have been used to save lives - which you're right about, no doubt - it's showing the government that people care passionately about their government, their democracy; a government system that, more times than not, has been founded through blood, sweat and tears.

To me, the people are saying that freedom is more important than a few lives, and no matter how bad that may sound, I have to say that I agree with that statement. I mean, I would much rather die for liberty and equality than to live in a world of corruption and exploitation of the weak.

    • Considering that 1 in 100 adults has AIDS in Thailand, this was pretty reckless and irresponsible.
      Fantastic symbolism though.

"the rest would be poured at ruling party headquarters and the prime minister's house, if their demands were not met" SO the rest of the communal blood is just chillin somewhere in a few of those big jugs. I dare you to take a gulp. I love this story
