Except we have nothing to fear from our own missiles. North Korea does pose a threat to South Korea and the thousands of troops we keep in the demilitarized zone, not to mention Japan. Both loyal allies and liberal democracies in the region.

yet again... WE ARE ACTUALLY USING our bombs RIGHT NOW. is america the only country allowed to bomb people and make war? also nobody will mess with japan simply because america will stomp anyone who does. do you really think north korea will try anything against us? we're the only county to use nukes against another, and we're the only country that spends TRILLIONS on war machines. there is NO threat to us, nobody in the world is a threat to the U.S. and to think otherwise is pure nievity.

I imagine you would have thought they were no threat to us back in 1950. At the time we had nuclear weapons, the most powerful military in the world, etc. The same points you just made.

The prospect of fighting the most powerful military in the world, armed with nuclear weapons, didn't seem to bother Kim Il Sung back in 1950 and neither did the prospect of total destruction. So what is to stop his son today? After all, his army now has nukes of its own.

      Who's naive now?

    • The state manages to spend all its money in building warheads and missiles while the North Korean people eat grass and are sent to gulags.

North Korea is the personal fiefdom of Kim Jong Il. The country is basically a serfdom with a Jurassic economy with the people enslaved. People cannot even leave the country, because after all, no slave master likes runaway slaves.

I'm an atheist, but God save those people...
