300 students at the Sussex University in Brighton are protesting against a proposed cut of 155 jobs.

The article says, 'sit in' events are taking place at the university because students want the university to rethink plans and talk to both facility and the students union over the issue.

The protests are also hoping to stop the suspension of six students who were identified as participants of a sit in protest.

"About 50 students barricaded themselves into the university offices in Falmer, near Brighton, on 3 March.
Members of the University and College Union at the Falmer site plan to hold one-day strike on Thursday."
