    • of all things in american history has produced it turns out our 3rd partie du jour turns out to be the libertarians? See I always thought the socialist or the IWW would've had a better shot, what happened... oh yea the generation of "me".

I like Ron Paul for trying but to just say that people are being violated to make things like welfare happen is a bit misinformed. Did he forget this thing called society and like if i have more citizens who are healthy, fed and debt free running around in turn I get more people who might grow up to cure things like cancer.

Because people are TIRED of statism slavery! They are tired of the big government wars, the big government wiretapping, the big government protectionism for wall street and government bureaucrats, the big government Patriot Act, the big government war on drugs, the big government EVERYTHING! How anyone can say America is "free" today complete blows me away!

The Keynesians and Neocons are all alike, they just want to steal your money at gun point and spend it on different things. This isn't conservatism and if you had any idea of what conservatism stood for you would not call this conservatism, it has NOTHING to do with limiting government. The republicans use the neocon voters as pawns in the streets, not as educational tools.

People are tired of slavery! You can keep your DEA, SEC, FDA, FED, DHS, TSA, ABC, 123, ETC......

Free my people! Let us make our own decisions and quit pointing guns at everybody if we don't comply with your order! We are sovereign individuals, not your serfs!

hey dude i agree on a lot of those things, but we have to have a balance between society and industry at least if we're engaging in the monetary system. Here's a scenario
say we wipe out the government somehow, restart the nation from zero except now we have a clear free market economy with no intervention. How long do you think it would be before we ended up back where we are today? how long before some free enterprising people form a monopoly and then a cartel with other influential businessmen to retake the country in a plutocratic manner?
The free market sounds nice on paper, but it only gives birth to a plutocracy.
Have you read the works of Plato by any chance? particularly the state

How would these businesses get tax loopholes, barriers to entry to driver out competition, tariff pressures small businesses cannot afford/protectionism,........

The Corporatist sector we are in today is actually a GOVERNMENT BACKED corporatist sector. The lobbyists go to D.C. to lobby for measures that will benefit them, just like when Wal-Mart supported minimum wage to hurt Target.

Just look at your precious SEC, the ones you want to give more power to now! They BACKED UP Madoff for 17 years, gave him the green stamp and actually PUSHED investors towards him. You really believe the lie that they can regulate every transaction? They back up more fraud then they catch!

Free markets equals personal freedoms, oligarchy is derived through tyranny.

We must ALWAYS push for personal choice and freedom over bureaucratic and politicians slavery!

Government is coercion, not charity, not kindness.

Don't send IRS, DEA,....agents into my neighbors house/small business in my name! Don't make them go through my families checkbook! Stop allowing the government to rape our freedoms and to help big business!

The free market is pro consumer, pro peace, pro technological growth and pro sanity.

People look to government like religion......the congregation's in D.C., the preachers are the politicians, and the ritual is legislation......freedom of religion! Keep me out of your congregation!

Not really shanklinmike, the only solution you offer is "Let us make our own decisions"..you call the end of the Patriot Act, you want to disolve the DEA, SEC, FDA, DHS, TSA..etc, etc. Who is going be respondible for the national security, national health (which I admit is a joke). Then end of "big government" which I assume a massive reduction in the Federal's Governments control over State rights.....I agree with you about Corporate welfare is an insult to the working class and poor alike. Your also right about Neocons pretending to be conservative and using fear tatics to achieve their politic goals. Many things in the Federal Government need a massive overhaul and some programs and practices need to be simply abolished. But, your naive if you believe something more sinster won't fill the power vaccumm left behind. The nation will be plunged into chaos and anarchy. You might have the intelligence and wisdom to be self-sufficent but the average American needs help and guidance. Even though I disagree with much of what you believe, I respect your passion and eloquence in attempting to get your message out there.

    • Ron Paul can be kind of a douche when it comes to his dogmatic adherence to Libertarianism, but at least he is one of the few Conservatives I can respect for for having valid opinions.

What do you hate about individual rights, a noninterventionist foreign policy, civil liberties, and economic freedom?

We don't have any of this left, why would a change towards REAL Liberty be bad? (As long as the neocons don't take control)

Our country is bankrupt...no one wants to admit it.....

    • Ron Paul is full of crap. he is an anarchist who wants to get elected. if you think government sucks and theirs no way to fix that, its because you would suck as president. Ron Paul doesn't know what rights are, probably hasn't read the constitution to any depth and is a complete baffoon. We have a right to stuff because the majority of us wants a right to stuff. the constitution clearly states that we have what-ever rights are not taken away by our congress, in order to protect our other rights. its called the ninth amendment. aperantly individual liberty to Pauly means that the president is our constitutional (excluding ninth amendment) KING. "right to your wife" what the fuck?? conservative shit heads sound more like anti-feminist fundamentalist muslims everyday. Ron Paul is an idiot... "divy up the loot?" really? what are we pirates now? FSM 4 ever? its called give us the PUBLIC option!!! instead of republican mandates and less restrictions for healthcare companies working across state lines. TOO BIG to FAIL anyone?

He is not an anarchist, he is a minarchist

He doesn't think government "sucks", he simply gives it the proper definition of coercion.

Ron Paul understands individual rights better than anyone I have every researched outside of political and economic philosophers such as Henry Hazlitt, Ludwig von Mises, and Murray Rothbard.

Ron Paul wants to minimize the executive branch, he is a paleoconservative, not a neoconservative! Are you seriously this lazy to not do a quick google search on Ron Paul before you use slander and libel?

The constitution was written to protect negative rights, not positive rights. It was written to protect individual rights, not statism.

The government has been pirates for a very long time....but people like you keep encouraging slavery...

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xeo6IY5Dh0

How is Ron Paul an anti-feminist for wanting to give them equality?!?

Why would you arrest or fine someone for bringing more competition to the insurance business. Why force people into this slave system. Most people don't donate money to welfare for a reason, they know their money will go farther in a private charity and will help more poor people than the joke slave system you continue!

Ron Paul has been the ONLY one who has fought to stop too big to fail. All the rest act like it and then vote for bailouts and corporatism.

YOU are the one who needs some research. Your slander has been exposed and screenshots taken for future reference. Thanks for all the lies!!!

Which founding father explained that the constitution was written to protect negative rights? did they even have such a 'concept' back then? It seams kinda of a vain and redundant concept to me. as my math teacher explained: substraction is just adding the negative. i will need you to clarify your concept of 'negative vs positive' rights; and why positive rights should not be protected. would freedom to petition be a 'positive right'? what about freedom of trial by jury? I doubt very much that minarchist scum model anything even resembling the original and progresive america that was created by the founding fathers. centrist Libertarians like myself keep encouraging slavery?? i had always believed that was a task left to the paleoconservative anarchists. odd however, that had it not been for progresives, our state of existance would much more rotten. I do admit that Ron Paul is not likely 'anti-feminist', i was using such hyperbole to demonstrate that his great pondering to the con-wing had made him trip of words and piss on our great constitution which leaves the deplorable tradition of false/vain unions, not to its beautiful pages but to other phasets of our fedaral system which would so like to interfere and restrict the life and liberty of others(States and Courts). Other than what i have already stated, i must also admit that i have no idea where you are going with your last three paragraphs. How is paying taxes for rodes you do not and will not use a "slave system"? or being required to have auto insurance a "slave system"? In fact, what the hell are you talking about?

    • There's no reason to believe that a government that cannot effectively run entities that it has the constitutional authority to run such as the Post Office, Military, etc. is going to be able to manage health care. I fail to see how anyone in their right mind could possibly see this any other way.

My honest opinion on this issue is that this is nothing more than an attempt to buy votes. Heck, most of the folks that want the feds to subsidize health care don't even pay much in the way of federal taxes anyway. Why should people who pay an already unfair share of the tax burden be called on to pay even more?

I say hell no government run health care.

It's all government backed corporatism, everybody just calls it different things....

In the end, the bureaucrats win and the People lose even more freedom, just like we have been doing for 60 years....
