Two other large quakes have been reported in Eastern Cuba, a 4.3 quake on March 2 and a 4.6 quake on March 16. The intensity and frequency of the quakes in Eastern Cuba have been intensifying over the past few months.
Is Cuba's mountainous Eastern region due for a catastrophic quake?

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/ Not sure if the frequency is out of the ordinary. but definitely the proximity to people seems to be higher. And of course the quake in Chile would be expected to have some world wide effects. But is it end of times? I doubt it.

i only hope they can endure this successfully. no country with an unstable way of life should deal with a natural disaster in addition to what they already go through.

Obviously the Cuba quakes are due to Dick Cheney trying to destroy evidence and cover up the real reason none of the detainees can come to New York -- because they were already killed and their body parts were sold on the black market.
Sarcasm aside--at least my conspiracy theory is based somewhat in reality.
Or I could claim that since I watch the 700 club occasionally I have it on good authority that the Cuban people made a pact with the Devil -- and this is their "reward" for not closing Guantanamo a long time ago. (or maybe its for causing the Cuban Missile crisis, or the Bay of Pigs, or hassling the Coast Guard and turning Miami into the Mexican version of Phoenix--because damn it we can't build a giant electrified wall across the ocean border we share with them, or for the whole Elion Gonzales debacle, or for being socialists, communist, Marxists, or for NOT being the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere)

Using earthquakes as a weapon is known to be possible, fully understood and could be MUCH more destructive than an H-bomb. Check out some pretty damning videos. Personally I think it's highly likely that an earthquake weapon was used by the US. In Haiti, China, Chile and Iran (among others). There is video of an "Aurora" being seen over ALL of these places about an hour / half hour before the quakes. It's also incredibly profitable for us to get into a country via "humanitarian aid" and to funnel money directly from the American people into these "causes"

Turkey, Okinawa, mainland Japan, Haiti, Chili, Cuba. This does concern me, especially after seeing 2012.
Nothing I can do though if it does happen. No rhyme or reason, no punishment from a higher power, just mother nature.

I think personally that its just periodic intensification of seismic activity. These places have all experienced it before, so it should be no surprise that its happening again. Geologists in Cuba have been tracking the growth in the earthquakes for a few months already.
Several 4.0 quakes had been hitting the last two months.

There has been a lot of seismic activity recently. The Earth seems to be going through a period of tectonic instability. It has been a while since there was a large quake in Cuba, the last big ones were in 1992 (6.9) and in 1947 (6.8).
But the quakes in Cuba have been intensifying in number and magnitude over the last few months.
