    • I am already part of 100% funded Federal health care plan know as the Military Health System, covers everything. The MHS has a budget of $42 billion which is widely criticized for being bloated and to expensive. I am not even taking about Veteran Affairs just health care for active service members. Thanks, America

I think you should do something to really serve your country. Refuse to serve in an unjust, illegal racist genocidal for-profit war.

But you don't have the balls to do anything that your leaders don't tell you to do. Don't even try to think. You don't have permission.

You bring your guns, and you'll need healthcare soon enough. To the right of the GOP is libertarians, not teabaggers. Come here and I'll teabag YOU.

    • I sure wish these ass holes would knock it off. It makes it pretty hard to defend my position as a supporter of gun rights when these idiots make stupid threats like this. But really... what can we expect from a group that considers Bachmann, Beck, and Palin to be role models.

Their agenda is to take what the RNC tells it to do and go out and pedal fear to the media. Just like when in 2000 the RNC sent supporters from Washington to Florida to contest the hanging chads. They rioted and broke into the building and made it look like Americans were outraged.

This is the same kind of fake outrage to spread fear and misinformation. The Fox News channel will be covering it all in rabid detail.

and who stops the tyranny of retards, like palin, or beck, or rush, or orielly. Fuck them retards. Promoting fear, just to save the insurance corporations from losing profits. You talk about tyranny, you've never seen tyranny cept on tv, in other countries. Go see the world and then talk. Those guys know, and that makes you the stupid on, because you believe them. They manipulate you and you let them. If you would read the bill, as I have, you would know, it's about as close as you could be to what the GOP resented 14 yrs ago. They fought social security. They fought medicaid. They fought the 8 hour workday and 40 hour workweek. They fought unemployment. The only reason they fought segregation was to try to get the black vote. But poor ppl aren't dumb. We know who helps the poor, and it isn't the gop.

    • Too many of the people on current think that anyone that disagrees with healthcare are ignorant, uninformed individuals. Believe it or not everyone that disagrees with you is dumb, ignorant or uninformed. If those of you that want this are proven wrong, when unemployment jumps, your taxes soar and your healthcare benefits suffer, will you finally admit it was a mistake ? Or will it be more of blame George Bush ?

it's not that we think all the people that disagree are ignorant.... but most are. our health care is a horrible state, we need reform. people need to compromise but its hard when politicians have insurance lobbyist throwing money at them. maybe this plan isn't the best but is a step in the right direction.

and people only blame bush for the things he did to put our country in this situation. i think a lot of the people who have problems with the current administration fail to realize that the state our country is in right now is b/c of BUSH and CHENEY.....

Bush did ruin our economy. However, not everyone that is a republican friend of mine is stupid, ignorant, or uninformed. Just retarded...just kidding. We just have different points of view. The democrats just happen to be in charge after what Bush did to our nation. The majority, we the people, voted Obama into office. So it is our turn to make the decisions from the moderate left.

I do not mind if our taxes are increased. We need to pay down the 11 trillion dollar deficit Bush put us in. No matter how healthcare changes some people will be happy and others will complain. I don't know if unemployment will jump though, I don' think there is a correlation with healthcare and unemployment. I think Obama will take another term to get us out of this economic slump we are in and turn it around.

Seriously, I didn't mean to say that republicans are retarded in any way. However, if you could loosen your helmet strap because it is difficult to hear you talk when it is so tight, hahahaha.

And when it works? will all the obstructionist apoligize and admit they were wrong? You've got to see that the main reason conservatives are against this is because if it works, which i think it will, there's no chance they're gonna win elections, but if they keep the stalling tactics up, they can stretch this til 2012, and then say, "see, Democratics couldn't do a damn thing, vote em out"

Your taxes will only rise if you make 250,000 dollars annually...as an individual. Even then, it is only a 3.8% increase. There's also an excise tax of 10% on tanning bed services. Strange, but true.

Other than that, nothing will "soar." So...read the bill before you insult it, mk?

Well, duh! Obama didn't create this mess. I realize that doesn't matter now, but why in the world are people angry at the person who is actually on their side? Time will show what I'm saying and all the threats in the world are just a JOKE. Just like thes people. Pathetic excuses for human beings.

dont say that; many world leaders have been assassinated. some are willing to make sacrifices for what they believe in, and if that means they have to kill someone and go to jail for the rest of their life or getting the death penalty then they just might do it...

now i would never wish death on anyone, its just that-thats been human history since the dawn of man... so dont say people aren't willing to make that sacrifice.

but as stated when its a bunch of white rednecks with guns it is not a threat..... i don't think their freedom of speech was questioned. they have the right to say any ignorant thing they want. even if it is technically threatening the life of the president.(which is not covered by "freedom of speech")

    • This is what pisses me off, and I think the majority of the Tea Party protesters. I get up six days a week to work ten hours a day, and no one pays attention to me. The politicians are all concerned with this special interest or that, pandering to this group or that. Hey, I'm the one footing the bill here, I'm the one paying the taxes you spend however want, how about listening to me for a change!

Guess what? Health care reform will lower your health insurance premiums. By insuring those who now use the emergency rooms as a last resort when their health gets out of control and then need critical care instead of regular preventive care, we will all spend less money on health care. You are paying for these people already in hidden costs to your insurance. This bill will not raise your taxes or your premiums. It will lower them.

      Wake up.

I hear you John...footin the bill with you, and the thing is, the government isn't about to filter some of that 65% of the budget away from the DOD to fund this, they're going to find ways to pilfer even more out of our paychecks, and I'm not against health care reform, I'm just not so sure our government is capable of reforming anything, especially their own insatiate appetites for spending our money.

They are listening to your voice. In the form of a vote, and your vote adds up to electing someone that you feel conveys your ideas. You might have to concede a few things if your candidate doesn't agree with you on 100% of the issues. Or you could run for office, but it is pricey. Joe the Plumber was an average guy (Making over $300,000 a year in charge of his own plumbing company) that tried to make a go of it.

I don't want to upset you more. But go online and look what our budget is spent on for the past 50-60 years. How much we spend on TARP dollars, military, roads, everything. The pork barrel projects seem insignificant when you see BILLIONS of dollars spent on things.

We need fiscal responsibility, but who decides how the money is spent? YOUR VOTE. Your voice.

    • So let me get this straight, the Bush administration:

      1. Started two wars
      2. Blew a massive surplus
      3. Disregarded the constitution
      4. Sent the U.S. economy to hell
      5. Did everything the could to screw the poor
      6. Destroyed America's image around the world
      7. Tortured at will
      8. etc, etc, you can fill in the rest

      - here is my question.
Where in the fuck were these so called patriotic Americans when all this shit was going down?
I have said this before and will say it again.
The Tea Baggers are not patriots, they are the KKK.

Well JohnA, we are going to have to tax you one way or another. So if you don't help pay for it up front, you will be charged in the end.

Just think, if you work 62 hours a week you can help support 3 kids from...just kidding. I know you work hard for you money. I am assuming that you get taxed between 15-20% of your income and there many things that you don't agree with how the government spends your money. I do think we do need more social programs like the European countries. I think we need to cut down on our military spending and homeland security and invest a portion of that into the FBI.

The budget is a huge concern for most of us. Whoever is in charge decides how we will spend the 4 trillion a year. We are currently 11 trillion in debt. I don't think tax cuts are going to get us out of this mess. I fear we may have to raise taxes in the future to get us out of our debt.

that's the plan on paper jon, but it has to be enforced to work, and God, look at all of the things the federal government runs now and how well they enforce when it comes to corporate crime, and let's be honest, it is the corporate crime that has caused the current mess we are in. The only government run program I know of that works like a well-oiled machine is the IRS, but that's only if you are a working citizen. If you are a corporation, or born with a silver spoon in your mouth, Helmsley said it best, "taxes are for the little people."

Boo hoo, poor you. Listen, you're not the only one who works their tail off and pays taxes. But you really don't get it. People go to emergency rooms now and the taxpayers pay big bucks for that. There's a much more intelligent way to distribute health care. Only losers deny their own people health care.

They have been led to believe 'fear' works. Fortunately the law is on our side. Use their guns and go to jail. Threaten violence and go to jail. When cannabis is reclassified, our government will need new 'meat', somewhere to get houses, cars and money. Maybe they can start collecting from 'radical' teabaggers, crooked bankers, crooked health insurance company executives, cheating stock brokers, the list goes on.

It's time to get tough with the actual criminals, or wanna be criminals in America. Take their personal posessions. It worked in the 'war on drugs'. Even if it didn't, it did help the coffers in America. We could use the cash!

    • Seriously...this is news to you people? 2 guys with signs that you perceive as a legitimate threat and you talk about it as proof that an entire "movement" is incorrect in their philosophy? I have a great idea...lets centralize government power even more than it already is so it is even easier for humans with a propensity for crime to know how to exploit it for their own benefit. You silly people trust government beauracrats/politicians to be benevolent when history shows that is not the case...power corrupts..period. so humans are better off not creating power out of thin air for other humans to have the option/temptation to exploit for their own personal gain. INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY GOOD, GOVERNMENT POWER (LESS INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY) BAAAAD!

I agree. Mind you, it is impossible for Corporations to get huge without Government getting in bed with them and creating favorable laws, which is inevitable in our republic turned democracy (mob rule). Dems and Reps get money from the Corporations in exchange for favorable legislation that benefits nobody but the Corporations, Unions, lawyer etc...this is anything but Capitalism (free markets) it is Fascism. There is no difference between Government, Corporations, Unions, Lawyers etc. It is one group stealing as much as they can from those who belong to no group. The good thing is Economics is real...and economic reality is a law of the universe which we are now witnessing. I will rephrase my og statement to- as government (corporations, unions, etc) increases in size and power Individual liberty decreases. I believe in separation of Everything and State. viva life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness.

I'm against the bill, but I'm against it for my own reasons. (I think it's a payday for private insurance, and that it won't help. Single-payer is the only worthwhile solution.) But when they stop and think about fighting, they will realize it's pepsi vs coke.

"Do you think people actually vote for who they think will do the best or vote because of what they see on the TV?"

Yes I do, that's how the 2 party system works. It's Pepsi vs Coke. You can vote for the State Capitalist who believes in abortion rights, or the State Capitalist who is mostly pro-life.

That's also how the tea-bag movement worked. You can't honestly believe this would be happening if McCain won.

I do believe people will wait to see what happened before they react. Sure there are some that won't, but for a full scale civil war? Please. People aren't willing to die for this. They hold their signs in protest, but when they hit 65 they'll be wondering where their social security and medicare is.

About Obama getting elected, you answered your own question. On TV, he promised everything the people wanted, and is now under delivering... that's why it's ratings suck. It's not because of this, but because of everything he promised, he's NOT doing.

I agree, some people may react, but their numbers will be very few.
