Tea Party Circus: Info Comes from Fox News

JonRaymond
Tea partiers in D.C. spout off lies and misinformation about the health care bill, like rationing, euthanasia, suicide pills, but cannot elaborate or explain exactly where in the bill these things exist. According to these tea partiers, Fox News is the only fair and balanced media outlet.

    • I like to compare these tea-baggers to the residents of the town Dry Gulch from "Blazing Saddles". ' The sheriff is a...DONG". "He said the sheriff is near". "I SAID THE SHERIFF IS A GOD DAMN..DONG". Come on, these people and the RNC started looking for ways to de-legitimize this president the day after he took the oath. The Republican party is a party built on guns/god/fear/racism/greed/cutting taxes/creating deficits. They like to say that they are a "Big Tent" party, but the poor and people of color enter through the back flap where the animals enter. My mom is a liberal and goes to a very conservative christian church. This church has a food pantry, cooks food once a month for local Ronald McDonald house, cooks food twice a month for a homeless program and has a yearly Thanksgiving dinner for people to eat in or they deliver. That sounds great, huh? Ever since Obama won the election my mom has been receiving mass e-mails from her tea-bagger friends/church members about how he's gonna ruin America. I got one particular e mail from her and found it quit racist. So I google "The Aryan Nation" and lo and behold the mail I received was from their website w/o the Aryan Nation header. These are supposed to be caring people? These people have a deep seeded racist streak they don't recognize. Leads me to believe they do all of these programs NOT for the people they are helping but to make THEMSELVES feel better about their racist/ignorant views (they're idea of karma, I guess). What these fools don't realize is that you can't go to a zoo that has a $20.00 admission fee and demand to only pay $17.00 "cause you don't like MONKEYS and you won't be visiting the MONKEY cage". I'm sick of all the money we spent on defense. We have the largest Navy in the world, bigger than the next 11 largest navy's and 8 of them are our allies. We had over 700 military installations around the world BEFORE 9/11 (how many now?). We have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the planet about 100 times, couldn't we lower that number to 20 or 30 times. The money this country spends on "the means to kill" could pay for health care, keep some schools open and lower our deficit without making us any less safer. If you remember at the end of "Blazing Saddles" everything worked out just fine, after saving the town the old racist lady gave the sheriff the pie and said " Thank you, and I'm sorry for the "up yours ni^^er" remark" walks away and turns around and say's "of coarse you'll have the good taste not tell anyone"

    • These fools are being manipulated by Fox et al, all in the name of selling books. Beck made $31 MILLION last year, off of his media/publishing deals.

Of course, the other side is JUST as ignorant, illogical, and misled.

Once the electorate realizes they can vote themselves entitlement, it's all over. This is exactly WHY America is in the situation it is: idiocy of the electorate.

    • I'm glad this guy isn't condescending. And the people are honest. Maybe they're just mad that their party didn't win. I don't know.

Why couldn't they atleast read the condensed version of the bill somewhere:

      Provisions

HR 3590 is divided into ten titles. The text of the bill cannot be read directly as printed. The tenth title is a list of amendments to the previous nine titles. These amendments must be processed before the bill is read.

Key provisions of the bill include:

Prevent insurers from discriminating against people with preexisting conditions.

Expand Medicaid eligibility up the income ladder, to 133% of the poverty line.

Establish health insurance exchanges, and subsidize those making up to 400 percent of the poverty line

Offer tax credits to certain small businesses (under 25 workers) who provide employees with health insurance

Impose a penalty on employers with over fifty employees who do not offer health insurance to their workers

Impose a penalty on individuals who do not buy health insurance

Offer a new voluntary long-term care insurance program

Pay for new spending, in part, through cutting Medicare Advantage, slowing the growth of Medicare provider payments, reducing Medicare and Medicaid drug prices, cutting other Medicare and Medicaid spending, and raising various taxes, including an excise tax for high cost "Cadillac" insurance plans.[11]

Impose a $2,500 limit on contributions to flexible spending accounts (FSAs), which allow for payment of health costs with pre-tax funds, to pay for a portion of health care reform costs.

    • this is interesting.

i could do without the blatant suggestion that the tea party people are a circus act but it's really really sad that people are so easily manipulated by those who they truly believe they can trust, by those who care about nothing but money or are too stupid to be in a leadership position in the 1st place (blind leading the blind).

Despite what the buffoons who declared "the American people don't want this bill" say...

I'd like to know what Americans they speak of
because the Americans I know who work 2 or 3 jobs and have preexisting conditions want it and are glad to have it. i guess the people they're talking about are the ones who are too dense to realize they've been lied to or those Americans that have never had to worry about not being able to afford or have access to health care.

thank God stupidity, fear and greed did not win today.

    • I think we need to expose and interview more of these tea baggers to show the nation what they believe. Who told them to believe it, and what they are trying to accomplish.

    • the idiocy of these people is incomparable, and hilariously horrific.

these people can't even find a reason why they hate the bill... oh thats right, glenn beck and fox n friends....

and then that one guy who said, "if you remove God, we have no rights"... hahahahah, how ridiculous does that sound.

these people are hilarious, but its horrifying that these people are american citizens and voters.

    • It is amazing that people can be so passionate about something that they obviously know absolutely nothing about. It's also a shame that they choose the likes of GB and Faux News to do their thinking for them.

    • Clearly many of the people who call themselves Tea Partiers are clueless.

In the video It seems like they are attending and identifying for entertainment - like the "Tea Party" is their band and they are fans at a concert.
