The US is the biggest consumer of black market wildlife in the world earning smugglers up to $20m a year.

US customs agents say smuggling of protected wildlife is becoming a multi-billion dollar business, generated by a huge demand.

Mike Kirsch reports from Los Angeles.

    • I've had ideas about creating a world plan - wherein transportation, energy, forestry, mining, water, prisons, world finance, eco-systems -and animals- management are defined.
      International money - International shared power, transport and communication systems.
      Regional planning, resources, forestry, prisons
      International governance, World manufacturing environmental law - all products.
      Paper on the inherent flaws with market-place economics. Where “things” are priced beyond their relative value /and costs leading to inappropriate distribution of wealth. Gouge economics.
      An extra-national Space agency, similar to UN, where nation members fund and seat delegations. The entity forms the financial and political basis of space exploration. Ownership of acquisitions, future wealth and properties are defined. By treaty, they become an independent entity. Create two-fold study of manufacturing and transport from space, moon, mars and asteroids. Energy products management.
      Direct a world plan for the clean up of earth.

      These are many plans that would go together and possibly become a clear path for the future.

      I would need help creating such plans.

      A plan that can be seen as a viable structure is a necessary aspect to all endeavors toward healing the world. -Just like an environmental plan when you go to building something - or a contractor's plan for construction.

      No plan - no bones to organized change. No structure. Ya gotta make a plan.

    • According to the video, wild-life smugglers made more than 20 billion, not million. It's not too surprising though. You know how popular having a tarantula as a pet has gotten, right? Most of the tarantulas sold in the US are from Australia, and considering the fact that only one man on the planet has a license to catch them (from Australia), then you realize that most pet stores don't give a damn.
