1.) Powerful and Continuing Nationalism: Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

2.) Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights: Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

3.) Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause: The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

4.) Supremacy of the Military: Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

5.) Rampant Sexism: The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.

6.) Controlled Mass Media: Sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

7.) Obsession with National Security: Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

8.) Religion and Government are Intertwined: Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.

9.) Corporate Power is Protected: The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

10.) Labor Power is Suppressed: Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.

11.) Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts: Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.

12.) Obsession with Crime and Punishment: Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

13.) Rampant Cronyism and Corruption: Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

14. Fraudulent Elections: Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

    • These TSA people can do whatever they want to people,and get away with it,the Patriot Act Allows them to even kill you! The American People allowed this,and other incidents like it to happen,by allowing our government to pass laws that fly in the face of the meaning of the Constitution,in exchange for a false promise of "safety",So does anybody feel "safer"?     • It sounds like his story is sincere but splitting the screen with a swastika and adding ominous music does little for the credibility of the post. I would have like to have heard the other side.

    • Let me put the real in it. I dont know nothing about the story, but I can say I went through the same bull when I came back from overseas and A cop tried to put crack in my car, cause I suppose to had been in drug area at the Park. I wasnt off the interstate 30mins. I was visiting folks and the coaches at the park. I got the cops fired this was back in 93. I will say all cops not bad, but just like they stereo every muslim as a terrorist Most cops will be viewed as a jealous pig that want to beat down on a man cause they got punk in school. They need to think before they act. The realization of the security gaurds i mean cops, Sue they ass if they violate your human rights like I did. They are security gaurds for the banks(FED RES)which is the court system who works for the BRITTISH EMPIRE. Only Sherrifs have the real power, because they was elected into office. The city cops are just like a security gaurd. They fill out they little application. They dont know the law or your rights. You notice I didnt say the constitiution. Your HUMAN RIGHTS. To all good cops i got love for you, and all bad cops catch a bad one. cause what goes around comes around you will pay for the crimes you do on people, You not god, so when you kill you will pay, Treat people as humans and remember you just like the people stop being a bully for the matrix, We all in the same boat. I love the cops who are awake like the sherriff out in colorado. Its alot of them woke in my town to I treat them to lunch every now and then. But these lost quick to pull a gun on someone, You will get yours so you better wake up.

      The video opens with the phrase 'welcome to the new world order".
      At this point I stopped the video. I saw all I needed to.
      Illuminati level conspiracy terms are not an indicator of unbiased reporting. If the director had started instead by talking about space aliens or mind control lasers my reaction would be no different.
      It doesn't really matter at this point if the video is right or left wing, or what point it is even trying to make. When one starts bringing up bizarre conspiracy theory stuff as an intro the stuff that follows is generally going to be so flawed as to not be worth bothering with.

    • I will have to come to the defense of the police officers that serve us all for very little pay. When they are confronted with a suspect that will not obey their commands they will escalate their force. Talking, restraining, tasering, and possibly use of force if they are threatened or the public's safety is threatened.

      I don't care if this man has served in the armed forces before. He is like any other American that doesn't abide by the law. Now if they they beat him like Rodney King, maybe they should have restrained themselves.

      The police are highly trained and are concerned about losing their job with every confrontation. I respect the police officers that serve and protect our great nation. They get paid less than the members of the military at times and often are exposed to much more violence and difficult situations.

      I very progressive, but I can't stand by and let our police officers be abused.

      I say tase the guy, and if he even ask a question...tase him again for good measure (ok, that last comment was for humors sake).

      How much do you consider "very little pay"? I know quite a few people in law enforcement and they all get paid very well. Everyone who says they are underpaid always gives me the run around when I ask what is too little and what should they be getting?

      This is where you might get angry with me...$30,000 to $60,000 is criminal to pay someone who is putting their lives on the line and dealing with stressful situations that rival few other jobs. We should pay teachers more and police officers more yearly too.

      However, this again comes down to raising taxes for the public to support these very honorable professions that shape our villages (cities).

      Know I am not either of these. However, I have friends and relatives that are both.

      Good point im a vet...and ive been arrested for possesion of a legally registered handgun and spent 12 days in baltimore central booking before the charges were dropped and on another occasion ive been maced and assaulted for wearing sunglasses at an on post dance club ....all while serving my country proud...America :The land of the free and the home of the brave.....

      I have had several 'encounters" with local police that lead to minor disagreements. It seems the minute they find out your Active Army with a Combat Arms MOS, they feel the need to feel superior. To exercise their false sense of control, prove something to themselves that they know is lacking. I am an Irish Yankee from up North and spend a lot of time in the Dirty South with it's great tradition of hiring only the most understanding, respectful and polite police officers................
