One of two people suspected of shattering 11 windows Tuesday morning at the state Democratic Party headquarters has an arrest record and a history of helping a Democratic political candidate, public records show.

Police said that about 2:20 a.m., 24-year-old Maurice Schwenkler, now in custody, and an at-large accomplice took a hammer to the picture windows displaying posters touting President Barack Obama and his health care reform efforts.

    • There are plants in every movement to try and counter the effectiveness. As rational people we need to be smart enough to recognize a plant when found and exploit it to the fullest.

    • While I won't deny the possibility of such dirty politics, keep in mind that this is one of the two guys and that the Tea Party has been -openly- advocating for this kind of behavior.

      Democrats can't even defend themselves from mudslinging in basic elections, I highly doubt that they have advanced agent provocateurs working on their behalf to make small political gains.

      Especially since shit like this -is- a Republican specialty, the main event in mind being the riots they started to shut down the recount in Florida. Surprise surprise, they were all Republican campaign coordinators who then went on to get prominent seats in the Bush administration.

      Meanwhile, Democrats nearly lose a president to Republican operatives over a BLOWJOB.

      You'll have to excuse me if I'm a little skeptical of the Democrats' ability to pull off political showmanship here.

      And I advocate skepticism because Democrats are proven incompetents and Republicans proven Machiavellis.

    • This is presented as if Schwenkler was on Democratic payroll which seems very misleading. I wonder what Balmer's comments are on the hundreds of legitimate crimes committed by enraged repub's.
