Nearly 5 years after Hurricane Katrina destroyed about 90 percent of Mississippi's inshore artificial reefs, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources' (DMR) Artificial Reef Program say they have restored Mississippi's reefs to 100 percent of their pre-Katrina state .
