Wachovia, the fourth largest commercial bank in the United States (they are merging into Wells Fargo Bank later this month). Highlights include the amount of $424 billion that was laundered by the bank from May 1, 2004 to May 31, 2007 for various Mexican CDCs, or ‘casas de cambio’ which are currency exchange houses. Millions of this laundered money was used to purchase airplanes for narcotics trafficking. Ultimately, more than 20,000 kilograms of cocaine were seized from these airplanes.

What the heck does LANUDERING mean? Is it naked people rambling around Los Angeles? Is it a new French term where people are stripped bare, perhaps against their will? What could it possibly have to do with either drug money or Wachovia?
