Easter: Christians celebrate myth of Christ's resurrection

On Easter Sunday many Christians celebrate the myth of Jesus Christ's resurrection. All four gospels of the New Testament claim that after Jesus was executed by Roman crucifixion he was entombed, and three days later, the gospel reports, Christ rose from the dead.

Athena did not spring from the head of Zeus. Jesus did not rise from the dead. Religion is a virus of the mind.

    • it is silly to interchange the person 'jesus', with the word 'christ', since one is a man who like many other prophets was crucified, and the other is a myth.
i'll stick to the 'easter bunny'.

    • Why do beliefs threaten you so much? Is it necessary to mock it constantly? So much for your "tolerance." I do not believe in a "physical" resurrection, but I sure do believe something occurred after the crucifixion of Christ spiritually and that makes my faith in his teachings stronger. Many see resurrection in many different ways. What a shame your mind is so closed to any line of thinking but your own.

    • Yeah- sure- whatever. Yes, we are celebrating Christ's resurrection- this gives us hope in a hopeless world. Have a blessed and happy Easter, everyone!

    • For an alternative fiction that lightly discusses Christ, I suggest watching the movie, "The Man From Earth". If you have a netflix account you can see it instantly via video streaming.
