They've been called Oreos, traitors and Uncle Toms, and are used to having to defend their values. Now black conservatives are really taking heat for their involvement in the mostly white tea party movement _ and for having the audacity to oppose the policies of the nation's first black president.-

A San Francisco man accused of threatening House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in phone calls cried during his first court appearance, wearing a T-shirt and khakis and appearing disheveled.
Forty-eight-year-old Gregory Lee Giusti appeared Thursday morning before a federal magistrate, who read the charges of making obscene, threatening or harassing phone calls to a member of Congress.
Giusti is accused of making the calls because of anger over health care reform.
Of course this "angry patriot" is black.
Oh wait! I'm wrong...he's one of the 10 million Asian-Americans that have marched in the streets and.....
Nope.
He's white, as per usual, in a "political movement" that alleges to be pan-racial and embraced by members of all faiths and backgrounds.
On the one hand the Tea Baggers have a point when they say they are unfairly being accused of being racists. I agree somewhat....but it is a very, very curious fact that no other ethnic group seems as obsessed with Obama-conspiracy theories as white Americans are.
The Asian-Americans aren't constantly marching on Washington holding misspelled signs demanding Obama "Show Hiz Berf Certificate!!"
The Hispanic community isn't marching on Washington holding misspelled signs warning that Obama is the anti-christ.
It is curious (very curious) that this Obama-derangement syndrom seems to only effect white Americans.
It's at least worth discussing WHY that might be, isn't it?

Fine.
Name the top 5 policy proposals being offered by the Tea Baggers, black or white tea baggers:
(silence)
Exactly.
The Tea Baggers in general are just pissed off people. It's not a movement and its not a political party. Its just a random collection of mostly white pissed off Americans.
Picking out 14 black Americans who self-identify with the VAGUE ideals of the Tea Baggers does not make it a rainbow coalition.
Just picking out 1, 2 or 10 African-Americans in a sea of 200,000 white faces doesn't make it a "movement" that "cuts across all races and religions."
No atheists. No homosexuals. And minorities make up less than .000001 of the groups participants.
Nope. 5 people does not a rainbow coaltion make.
99 percent of the movement is snow white, heterosexual Bush/Cheney supporters who are pissed off that they lost their jobs and really aren't smart enough to understand what happened to the economy.......which also explains why this same group offers no SOLUTIONS to the problems they are "angry" about.

Well put crob. I see the same thing. Teabaggers would be hilariously stupid if it weren't for their votes putting their fellow idiots in office. Here's a conversation with Dimwit Teabaggers (DT for short) here at work :
DT1: Well the Nazis have taken control of Healthcare.
Me: You know, when I think Nazis, Healthcare doesn't come to mind.
DT2: Oh come on, what do you mean ! Don't you watch Glenn Beck ?
Me: Well the Nazis had ideas of racial purity, world domination, and genocide.
DT1: This is what's wrong with our education system. You people believe everything you're told.
DT2: Typical Liberal stupidity. You know Liberals are taking God from schools and letting them to be gay ?
Me: I don't think you can "let" someone be gay, they just are or they aren't.
DT1: God didn't make it that way.
DT2: They are living the wrong choice and it's an abomination.Me: So you're position is that being gay is a choice. Interesting. You're both gay or bi-sexual aren't you ? It's OK, I won't out you. I'm a Liberal, you can tell me.
DT1 and DT2: Wha ?
Me: See, I like women. Naked women in particular. Every fiber in my body wants to spend days exploring their infinite supply of orgasms.
A guy does absolutely nothing for me. I've never for one second had a choice. You two great Republicans believe there's a choice to make. Why would you think that ?
The fact that you two think there's a choice tells the world that you two wake up every morning and choose not to have sex with a man that day. This is your choice and therefore you don't understand why other gays can't make the same choice as you.
. . .
DT1 and 2 both became very pale. They stammered a couple of things, glancing at each other. The only thing missing was for one to look at the other and say,"I can't quit you!" - 3 years ago

I'm sad that you have such views. They are jaded and untrue. DONT GIVE ME NUMBERS WITHOUT REPUTABLE SOURCES. You are very wrong if you believe the tea party is not a movement. Liberals like you attack these demonstrators like me, but we are not stupid!!! Do you know what is currently occuring in this country. Do you really believe that, (with these bills in place, like healthcare) the economy is going to prosper? Of course it won't. Business will be stifled, unemployment will rise. Companies will not be able to afford the costs of healthcare. ATT already knows a 1 Billion dollar fee is coming to their front door. (Look it up on the Wallstreet Journal). Small business will not survive. My course of action, tax cuts. No bailouts, no extensive welfare systems. It is proven through history. (Look at the fifties) that economic growth is the greatest cure for poverty and unemployment. Please, think about what you are saying when you talk about the tea pary movement. If you believe it or not it exists. Oh, and just before healthcare legislation passed, a CNN poll showed a 59% to 39% disapproval rating. This movement is made up of people who are going to have to pay extensive taxes in the coming years which is ridiculous. Did you know that 40% of Americans dont even pay taxes! A JOKE.

numbers and reputable sources ? Guy, teabaggers are idiot wackjobs. You don't believe anything that doesn't come from Faux Snooze. Your ramblings are so bipolar it's impossible to straighten out.
From your ramblings, you're saying the healthcare bill will stifle the economy and unemployment with rise ... how the hell do you get that from the healthcare bill ? Typical Jammer stupidity.
You also mention that small business wont survive. Alone, this statement is truly ignorant but paired with your opening demand for reputable sources raises it to a level of magnificent stupidity that only a Republican to hope to achieve.
You're using CNN Poll numbers in typical Lying Repuglican fashion. I wanted the healthcare bill to be many times bigger so I disapproved of the healthcare legislation on that Poll.
I want single payer. I want corporations taken completely out of healthcare. It was not enough for many of us. So that 59% disapproval number is BS because it doesn't take people like us into consideration.
I'm very glad we got it because it will help millions of Americans and it was what what we could get for right now. Phase 1 complete.
PS ... talk to your fellow teabaggers because you guys are getting quite schizophrenic. Advise them that they might want to take advantage of the healthcare bill and up the Lithium dosage. Half of you get on here saying Obama hasn't done anything while the other half says he's "The Most Radical President in American History."

There are conservative blacks, I was raised around them, but you find damned few who will stand shoulder to shoulder with the white hoods.
But what do you do with the crowd that insists on using the big lie,
An interesting point if you actually read the article:
"Black members of the movement say it is not inherently racist, and some question the reported slurs. "You would think _ something that offensive _ you would think someone got video of it," Bazar, the conservative blogger, said.
'Just because you have one nut case, it doesn't automatically equate that you've got an organization that espouses (racism) as a sane belief,' Johnson said."

You guys are assholes. I know a lot of the tea party activists are white and there are some idiots in every group. Can't you people understand that these people are legitimately concerned about there country. We have a 12 trillion dollar deficit and out of control spending. But if your concerned about it then your a racist tea baggier? And why call the protesters tea baggers? That's downright insulting. This is sickening. God forbid someone disagree with Obama and the out of control spending. And god forbid a group of like minded people get together and protest something. Wake up. The president and several media sources are calling the tea party movement racist and what not because they are afraid and hate the opposition, Put the cool-aid down,

"Concerned for our country" my ass. George Bush created these problem we are seeing today. Where was your "concern" then ?
Bush Lied us into a war. Concern ?
Bush Lied when he said he was not informed about Katrina. Concerned then ?
Outed a CIA Agent ... IN THE FIELD ... Now concerned ?
Those wars have cost us Trillions of dollars ... where was your concern ?
Thousands of Americans killed and maimed in the wars they lied us into ... still looking for your mythical concern.
Veterans treated like shit at VA hospitals when trying to get treatment for their wounds ... I was EXTREMELY concerned ... where were Teabaggers then ?
Companies moved offshore to avoid paying taxes ... perhaps that "concerned" you ?
Republicans ramrodded "The Patriot Act" through congress ... you concerned yet ??
Our education system ranks lower than ... Botswana. Missed your concern.
There are almost 40 countries that ranked higher than us in infant mortality and life expectancy ... Both ! Surely "concerned" by now, no ?Truth is no, Teabaggers aren't concerned about our country.
You listen to Radio Free Berlin aka Faux Snooze and they tell you what to think ... giving you your daily Kool Aid. You read and listen to almost nothing else, then come on here to tell people we're the ones who've drunk the "cool aid".
And now. Now that there's a black man in the Presidency ... Now you're "concerned"
I call BS on Teabagger "concern" for our country.
PS ... did you see that Teabagger who's going to the pen for a few years for threatening to kill Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi if she voted for Healthcare ? Ya, one of your nuttjobs saying the goverment shouldn't be "giving handouts".

The "Tea Baggers" is what they called themselves, and it is meant to be insulting. These people are out of control and promote violence, racist epitaphs have been hurled at their rallies, and anything to get media attention. These people were not concerned when Bush was ruining our country? So why all of a sudden are these right wing nuts so concerned? Because they are the mob (brown shirts) of the RNC and Fox news. Bush had out of control spending, Obama is responsible in comparison.
I don't mind that people protest, I just don't want them threatening violence or talking of civil war over policy disagreements. Bush did horrible things as president and told people he was elected by the majority of the people and to just deal with it.
So these people need to obey the law and have peaceful protest within the limits of the law. Without threats or treasonous or racist statements.
It was actually Flavor Aid that Jim Jones used down in South America. It is just a common misconception because Kool-aid is so popular. I love my Kool-aid.

True, a lot of people were asleep while Bush was trampling our rights and increasing our debt. A misconception about the tea party is that they are all republicans. In fact, if they were asked, most of them lean towards being libertarian. According to recent polls, most of the activists are not republican. Just because your part of the tea party does not mean you support Bush. Most of those that I meet are in fact really pissed off at Bush for his war and his expansion of government. But for just a second, lets get past all of the partisan crap. President Obama has signed a stimulus plan costing 800 billion dollars. A trillion dollar health care plan. For the first time ever, we are running of a trillion dollar deficit. So who's going to pay for this? This president wants to tax us. This health care bill is going to tax us into the ground. And that's just for the health care bill. Obama has already proved he supports cap and trade, and his administration is hinting at a value added tax.

Michael Steele comes to mind. A useful idiot. Why do you think he can't control the Republican Party ? 'Cause he's not in charge of squat.
He's the house negro face of the Republican Party. His job is to pop up on camera, say what he's coached heavily to say so he can continue to draw a paycheck. They're not about to accept him telling the white guys what to do.

What we could get passed so far will certainly help 32 millions Americans who have NO healthcare insurance and it will absolutely help the rest of us in several ways, one for example is we can no longer be denied due to pre-existing conditions.
And business ? You kidding me ? Why is American business involved in healthcare ? This may singularly be the dumbest thing we do as a nation. Realize German, French, Italian, British, and Japanese corporations do not incur healthcare costs. This means our products cost more than theirs on the world market.
So to make it simple for you, would it help Ford if their cars were $4000 to $6500 cheaper than they are today ? Heck yes it would ! They'd sell hundreds of thousands more cars. How about GM, Chrysler ... how about Boeing ?
So what we've passed, with lobbyists and their Republicans fighting it, helps the neediest Americans but we would prefer to do away entirely with the idea of getting our healthcare from our jobs.
