McDonnell: Slavery Wasn’t ‘Significant’ Enough To Be Included In My Proclamation Honoring The Confederacy

Does he not understand the Civil War was basically about “states rights” to keep the slave industry alive? How doesn’t he know this? Or does he know this? Is he just playing politics? Gov. Bob McDonnell has sign a few laws that some in his state see as liberal. Is this a way to strengthen his conservative credentials? Isn't that race baiting?
