Death threats for South Park creators after Muhammad depicted on show, disguised in a bear suit

A new twist on Muhammad the Bear has elicited the video above, which is currently available at YouTube, though that could change. Interestingly, there have been at least two prior depictions of Muhammad on South Park -- one in 2001, and another in 2006 that didn't make it to air, but can be found online. But a bear suit... that means war! Who knows, maybe it's because the Pedobear jokes all but write themselves.
Oodles of hateful rhetoric on a variety of topics and against a variety of people -- Theo Van Gogh, Salman Rushdie, Kurt Westergaard, Lars Vilks, and Geert Wilders -- can be found in the remainder of the video.
"Security Brief: Radical Islamic Web site takes on 'South Park'," from CNN, April 19:
The radical Islamic Web site Revolutionmuslim.com is going after the creators of the TV cartoon series "South Park" after an episode last week included an image of the Prophet Mohammed in disguise.
Revolutionmuslim.com, based in New York, was the subject of a CNN investigation last year for its radical rhetoric supporting "jihad" against the West and praising al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Its organizers insist they act within the law and seek to protect Islam.
On Sunday, Revolutionmuslim.com posted an entry that included a warning to South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone that they risk violent retribution - after the 200th episode last week included a satirical discussion about whether an image of the prophet could be shown. In the end, he is portrayed disguised in a bear suit.
The posting on Revolutionmuslim.com says: "We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them."

Now when I say that I could take both of them at 1000 yards will I be vilified? How about when I say that these guy's families (women and children included) should be hunted down and publicly boiled and skinned? How's that for terror? Fuck islam's extremists! I'm a fucking WASP and proud of it. We are just sitting back and giving our rights up little by little, piece by piece. The Constitution is being legislated away in a disturbingly cannibalistic way. Why aren't we, as Americans, taking up arms against these sects who would otherwise destroy us? Why are we as a country allowing the tiny groups dictate public policy for the masses?

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/04/23/road-radicalism-man-south-park-threats/
Fox provides an illuminating profile of the young convert to and Misunderstander of Islam who threatened South Park, demonstrating yet again the jihadists' consistent tendency to portray themselves as the exponents of authentic, pure Islam.
The real tragedy here is that a rapidly declining number of non-Muslim Westerners seem willing to stand up to this thuggery. Instead, they appear all too willing to kowtow and give the jihadis what they want, as long as the jihadis don't hurt them -- even Bill O'Reilly was saying this the other day.
The jihadis are saying that those who insult Islam should be killed, which is standard Islamic teaching."Road to Radicalism: The Man Behind the 'South Park' Threats," by Joshua Rhett Miller for FOXNews.com, April 23:
EXCLUSIVE: By all appearances, Zachary Adam Chesser was the boy next door. He played football and was on the crew team at one of the best high schools in the country. He even studied Japanese. He was hardly the sort of boy you'd expect would suggest on a radical Islamic website that the creators of the edgy cartoon series "South Park" will be targeted for death.
But Chesser also had a dark side. He was a "loner," a former classmate said, one who frequently drew pictures of Satanic figures in his notebooks and had just a few friends, most of them male.
"He was definitely sort of weird," the classmate told FoxNews.com. "He was very into violent industrial music, borderline Satanic bands and stuff like that. He had dark undertones in his interests."
Two years later, Chesser is literally a changed man. He now uses an alias and has a new set of hobbies. He now likes to be called Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee, and his primary interest in this world appears to be Islamic radicalism.
Last week, Chesser, 20, posted a warning on the website RevolutionMuslim.com following the 200th episode of "South Park," which included a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad disguised in a bear suit. The young man, who just two years ago was studying foreign languages at George Mason University, wrote on the site that Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the cartoon's creators, "will probably end up" like Theo van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker who was murdered in 2004 after making a film critical of Islamic society.
"It's not a threat, but it really is a likely outcome," Chesser told FoxNews.com from his home in Centreville, Va. "They're going to be basically on a list in the back of the minds of a large number of Muslims. It's just the reality."...

As usual TDS nails it by pointing out that the group that made the death threats gets to enjoy all the freedom they are protesting against by living in NYC
Also pointing out how well all the other faiths have taken all the mocking that TDS has done over the years in contrast to the threats they made.
So they certainly deserved the hearty "Go Fuck Yourselves" with the choir backup
I guess since they are caving into the pressure from the extortion of the death threats they will have to remove the depiction from this post also

Something needs to be established and clarified here. Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer (he personally helped to behead all 900 members of the Jewish Banu Qurayza tribe in one day), a psychotic liar, a bandit, a plunderer, a pedophile, a rapist, a slave owner. He was a 7th century Hitler, Himmler, Attila, Stalin and Mao all wrapped up in one package of psychopathic hatred and murderousness. It's all in the Sira, the OFFICIAL Muslim biography of Mohammed by Ibn Ishaq. Read it and learn. Then you will see that the only response to this repugnant scumbag is ridicule and satire.

A couple days ago, my younger sister - who is eleven mind you - said that Dragons exist. I was playing devil's advocate and merely asked, "Why do you believe they exist?" At the mere thought of having to attempt to provide evidence, she stormed off. Later when she calmed down, she told me precisely what I thought was going on in her mind. She doesn't WANT anyone to prove to her that they don't exist.
I similarly run into the same type of retaliation with religious individuals. Honestly, I am sick of people complaining about what is offensive. Mind your own fucking business; if you truly believe in your faith, then no episode of South Park is going to shake your beliefs, or hinder your spirit in any way. People need to grow up - you aren't eleven anymore. Stand by your beliefs, and have expectations set only for yourself and nobody else. Don't tell me what I can or can't watch/find funny because SOMEHOW, it mentally affects you (when it shouldn't).
Don't like something? Avoid it, or ignore it.

its not the literal mohammed i hate.
its the symbolic 500 year old mohammed anchoring the evolution of mankind.and his fucking philosophy(not in exact words but) reform those of us who are not muslim(infidels)
and if they criticize kill them.
as if to have some predisposed idea that anyone outside of islam is fucked up and shite.
its the effect he caused.
im aware that the times could have called for that sort of hitler like language to move the people and he wasn't dumb enough to leave the religion in an adaptive state as he was basically out for number one all he wanted really was power, so the selfish cunt knew what he was doin and fucked up generations.
i know they have a right to be pissed off in certain criterion but sometimes people just need to let things go ;however he brainwashed the people with his own ideals contrary to the god-given ones so he could build a religious army and take over the world so he purposly misinterpreted gods word to reel everyone in.he wanted to disguise a religion of hate as a religion of peace. it does have its peaceful philosophies
but its riddled with sexism as if the whole religion is a stream of pig mannered consciousness from his own mind.
but yeah,i wouldnt just want to hand them the west and for the same exact reason, if i were them i wouldnt want to just hand over islam to the west; but mohammed's teachings make it so that no consensus will ever be reached until war is over and done with.
so mohammed was a fucking twat and he retarded peace. - 2 years ago

http://livefeed.hollywoodreporter.com/2010/04/south-park-censorship-.html
from The Hollywood Reporter, April 22 :
''Now "South Park" can't even say the words "Prophet Muhammad."
After last week's episode of the Comedy Central series sparked a threat (and yes, it was certainly a threat) from a radical Islamic website, the network has cracked-down-for-their-own-good on creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone during last night's continuation of the show's storyline.
For those who missed the drama, the show's 200th episode last week mocked the one "celebrity" that the series has been largely unable to depict, the Prophet Muhammad, who was hidden from view in a bear costume. A U.S.-based website RevolutionMuslim.com then warned Parker and Stone they could end up like Theo Van Gogh (the Dutch filmmaker who was murdered by Muslim extremists after depicting Muhammad on his show) and even posted the address of the show's production office. The site has since been shut down.
Last night, "South Park" continued the controversial Muhammad storyline, but with a key difference: every instance of the words "Prophet Muhammad" was bleeped out, making the episode practically incomprehensible, especially to anybody who missed the previous week.
The character of Muhammad was once again also hidden from view, covered by a large block labeled "censored."
A Comedy Central spokesperson confirmed it was the network's decision to bleep the words....''
These cowards are not singular. The collapse of Western will and courage is all around us.
This is why Islamic supremacists issue threats and practice intimidation in the first place: because it works. These Hollywood dhimmis are only making sure that this sort of thing will happen again.

http://islamineurope.blogspot.com/2010/04/malmo-anti-islam-party-posters-show.ht...
The anti-Islam Skåne Party put posters with cartoons in twenty different places in Malmö. The posters portray the prophet Muhammed naked with a 9 year old wife by his side. The posters have been reported to the police by both the police and at least one person. The reporters think it could be hate speech."There's no reason for that. We're attacking Islam, not people who believe in Islam. We consider Islam to be very dangerous and psyco-social infectious disease," said Carl P Herslow, head of the Skåne Party, who thinks the posters defend freedom of expression and the press.
The party held seats in municipal councils in the past. In the 2006 elections the party got 1.8% of the votes and therefore dropped out. The party will run in the next elections.
On Tueday Björn Lagerbäck (FP) contacted Sydsvenskan. He heads the municipality's recently established Dialog Forum, where different groups in Malmö can convene to discuss "the values that divide and unite".
"The city of Malmö clearly opposes the posters. We appeal to all Muslim groups not to let themselves be provoked. The Skåne Party is a small, isolated sect," he said.
According to the Skåne Party, at least nine of the posters were vandalized since they were put out Monday. The party did not want to say who designed the cartoons.
The Muslim Association of Sweden demands an apology from Skåne Party leader Carl P Herslow.
"The party's posters are hate speech," the association's leader Mahmoud Aldebe said in a statement.
"The Skåne Party is a small, isolated, terrorist sect which should be banned from participating in the fall elections," said Mahmoud Aldebe

This sort of reminds me of the same stupid S*** Issac Hayes pulled when he quit South Park all enraged that Scientology was unfairly depicted--while completely forgetting that in just about every episode Chef embodied just about every stereotype out there of a black man as a "playa".
To me the most dangerous people in society right now are the religious fanatics on all sides who cling to the words of some dead prophet instead of studying the actual historical accounts of how their particular prophet lived his life and actually healed people and showed compassion and made rule number one--don't kill-forgive.
Seriously- Jesus, Mohammad, Budda and just about every other major religious prophet used their life as proof that a 2x4 to the head (or in today's society a gun or a bomb filled airplane) labeled with religious legalese isn't going to convert anyone to your cause--but offering a kind word or a sharing a moment of compassion and understanding will open people's hearts and draw them into being faithful followers of your religion.
It all goes back to the great quote--Why do we kill people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong?

Apparently, you have yet again swallowed the "Islam is a religion of peace" bullshit without having ever read any of the Suras from the Quran. Stop spouting this utter bullshit and go read what Muhammed said after his mother's tribe adopted his religion and he began to wage war.

You err, as so many do:
"Buddhism is not a religion in the sense in which that word is commonly understood, for it is not "a system of faith and worship owing any allegiance to a supernatural being."
Buddhism does not demand blind faith from its adherents. Here mere belief is dethroned and is substituted by confidence based on knowledge, which, in Pali, is known as saddha. The confidence placed by a follower on the Buddha is like that of a sick person in a noted physician, or a student in his teacher. A Buddhist seeks refuge in the Buddha because it was he who discovered the path of deliverance. "
So, YES you are right, Buddhism is essentially an instruction for how to live a good life, as is Taoism. Neither are strictly relgions, by comparison with Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc.

I'm pumped to see tonight's continuation.
On a side note though, does anybody know where the line is drawn on what is considered showing mohammad? I mean clearly he isn't really behind the bear suit, so what is the problem? Could I draw (poorly as usual) a stick figure titled "The prophet mohammed"? Clearly mohammad wasn't a stick figure, so how is it really a depiction? What if I just had a picture of an arab man labeled, The prophet mohammad? Clearly mohammad
I assume anything could be considered as "mocking", so that puts everything off limits. I'm probably the idiot for trying to find some logical reasoning behind a religious practice, but I can't help but to try.

It's a dark day, America, when a leading pundit on the FOX network, even a clownish one, admits that the risk of the threat of Muslim violence outweighs the benefits of free speech. Does O'Reilly understand what he has said and done?
I am not a big O'Reilly fan. He is weak and equivocal, so I don't expect much from him, but this is so profound a capitulation to Islam and a relinquishing of our most basic American freedom, it must be met with outrage and indignation. Surrender to this century's nazis out of fear is a giant step back into the dark ages. The last thing we should do in response to jihad is silence ourselves. That is sharia law. O'Reilly is advocating adherence to Islamic law on national television.
Starts at minute 4:00 ....
"This risk is higher than the reward." The
risk of free speech is higher than the reward ...... so then what, Bill? What comes after that?
The FOX network has bowed down to the Islamist aggressors because of entanglement with the Saudi's.
Is everyone just realizing that O'Reilly is an opportunist. Maybe his new paymaster, the Saudi-Nazi who owns 5% of Murdochs company and his friend Mel Gibson can all get together and have a hate the Jews fest while Fox allows freedom to die just like the rest of the spineless media.

Isn't it amazing how when they made fun of Jesus and God that Christians didn't get all bent about it. Many of them even laughed along. And the Islamic extremist probably laughed along as well. But let them say or do any thing that involves their supposed prophet, not their Allah, just the prophet and they react just like a bunch of neo-fascist nazi reprobates. Islamic extremists are nothing more than a bunch of homosexual, pedophile, bestial, self centered, cry baby, pussy wannabe dictators who think they're getting all the sex from an unlimited supply of women and pretty little boys they can handle when they die. Actually, Christianity is also set up for men only- The Bible says God is the head of Man, Man is the head of Woman. It also says a woman is not to teach, and that women are the property of their husbands. Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism are also biased in favor of men.
I can't think of any religion, short of Wicca, that treats men and women completely equal.
All of these religions are based on ancient books written by ancient people who all believed that women were inferior to men.
The only diference is that Islamic Fundamentalists in modern times are living not unlike Christians did in the Dark ages. "Suffer not a Witch to Live" was used to justify killing any troublesome uppity woman.

If religions want to survive, they are going to have to rewrite their texts to be inclusive of everyone.
The world is moving in a trajectory towards equality for all. Thoughts and words become realities...eventually. Just look at books written 50 to 70 years ago, considered fiction by most, now are real technologies we use everyday. Before these changes occurred people wrote about them. Many of these same books demonstrated a world where religion no longer reigns, where men and women are equals and those ideals will eventually become just as real as the technologies.

For you to say what you did, to advocate terrorism, means that you are not really a Christian, You are a faux Christian.
Faux or false Christians are already engaging in terrorist tactics in their war against the Muslims around the world and have done so since the time of the crusades. Christians first used terrorism as soon as the Christian Church became the official church of the Roman Empire. One of the first acts of the new Christian government was to round up the heritics and other non believers in the particular brand of Christianity that came to power, including gnostic Christians and the followers of other non conformist Christian groups and use them as human touches lining the road to Rome. Later it was the witches, defined as any woman who expressed herself sexually or in a non conformist manner, then the inquisition, etc etc....A Religion has a tendency to become its opposite once it acheives political power. It happened with Christians, Muslims and Jews. Islam isn't even a religion, it's a fucking cult. All these assholes need to start assassinating each other and save us all the grief. Religion is stupid, but islam is just ridiculous. You criticize us? Oh, we'll kill you and probably ourselves in the process. No big deal. Childish.

What's great about South Park is that they have taken on just about every religion, political group, social society, celebrity, culture, etc... and poked fun at them. Everything is fair game with them and we should be willing to laugh at our own follies. This just shows a basic insecurity.
However for those looking to bash Muslims, this death threat does not represent the entirety of the Muslim population and to think so is rather ignorant.

dave, you are dangerously naive. deep down, you seem to be struggling to be such a good person, not quick to judge, your fight to be "fair" is admirable. But it's just dangerously naive.
It's almost like saying that "not all the Nazis knew about the ovens. Not all of them wanted war." Right. That's a true statement. So does that make it wrong to make a statement like "the Nazis were genocidal war mongerers"? Of course not.
Polls of Muslims have revealed that surprisingly large percentages support terrorist acts.
In a poll conducted five months ago and broadcast on Britain's Channel 4 TV, nearly 25% of British Muslims said the July 7, 2005, terror bombings in London, which killed 52 innocent commuters, were justified. I mean , it´s those who had the courage to OPENLY ADMIT that they think they were justified. Another 30% said they would prefer to live under strict Islamic Sharia law rather than England's democratic system.A survey published in December 2007, found that 44% of Nigerian Muslims believe suicide bombing attacks are "often" or "sometimes" acceptable. Only 28% said they were never justified. According to the annual Pew Global Attitudes Survey, less than half of Jordanian Muslims believe terror attacks are never justified. In Egypt, only 45% of Muslims say terror is never justified. As Reuters reported triumphantly on October 15, 2007; "less than 20 millions of the adult Indonesian Muslims said they backed jihad and supported bomb attacks on the island of Bali aimed at foreign tourists". It´s less than 10%, they say , it does not look like too much. But I, for example, do not feel too comfortable knowing that 20 millions of the Indonesian Muslims are ready to kill me, even if "it´s less than 10%" .
But the last nail in the coffin of the myth about "the small fringe" was hammered not by Washington Post or Jerusalem Post - but by the Arab Al-Jazeera. On the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a survey conducted by Al-Jazeera asked the respondents in various Islamic countries a question: "Do you support Osama Bin-Laden?"
A whopping 49.9% answered: YES.
So, 49.9% of Muslims support Bin-Laden and share both his goals - and his tactics to achieve these goals. In the elections of 1932, Hitler received the support of only 33% of Germans.

They will kill anyone who resists, even their own people, they have no respect for life! the regime in Iran is convinced that they are the messiah if Islam and they will use nuclear weapons against us,to in their warped world view, win! every moslem is a potential terrorist! the only thing they take seriously is killing, death, and bowing and scraping to their warped 14th century vision! Women will be treated like chatel, free speech a memory! there is in my view no excuse for their actions, they like the Nazi's they are vermin that must be treated as such! dave please look at your history Islam's goal has been to take over the west for centuries and that is still Islam's goal!

I wanted for so long to tell myself that I wouldn't make any sweeping generalizations about Muslim people after September 11th, but these mother fucks just keep making it harder and harder for me to remember that there are in fact normal people out there that practice the Islamic faith. and my prediction is: nothing you'll read or hear or learn will ever be able to counter that growing realization.
I was torn to come this realization when I had a very dear friend who was an Egyptian Muslim, the sweetest lady you'd ever want to know. I know there are so many wonderful Muslims but dammit, the clerics and leaders are pushing the religion in a direction that will inevitably result in a global conflict. Sadly, there will be more Serbian massacres in the future as non-Muslims struggle to survive the ever increasing tyranny of the hell-bent religion. Very good, peaceful Muslims will be swept up and killed with them.
It's not something I want to see happen, I desperately hope we can avoid it, but I don't think it's probable.

Yeah, until some nut-job whips out a gun, self-detonates in their office, etc. Taunting the crazies for fun and profit is exactly the same game being played by the likes of Palin, etc, but in this case Muslim extremists are far more dangerous to tease, as they have a proven track-record of doing what they threaten....
See, the right to free speech is all well and good, but it doesn't protect you when someone else decides to rob you of your "life, liberty, and pursuit to happiness" without a proper trial, because of it.

Its interesting the only figure off limits to satire is Mohammed. Islam must always be taken seriously. If you jest about it, keep your head safe. Trey and Parker are challenging the one long standing politically correct taboo no one dares to transgress.

Absolutely. I don't think they did it just for publicity, although they knew it would draw attention. I think they constantly try to challenge people to think and this was a clear challenge to the Muslims.
Think about it: it came right on the heels of more threats in Europe about the Mohammed cartoons, threats against Dutch politician Gert Wilders, they knew what they were stepping into. And I bet they also knew the reaction of the network would be to censor them, which they NEVER did when they ran episodes mocking Jesus and other prophets.

Its sad how parallel his views are to mine. It just shows me that people feel the same way across the pond. Its nice to see someone giving genuine insight into this, rather than doing the present norm of just cheering to whatever anyone on a podium says. I think that the Muslims are just riding the wave of 911 and are having a great time draining our economy by attacking us and running across the Pakistani border. Its really just like how when your sister hit you as a kid and you cant do anything about it because your mom wont let you hit her. The only thing that we can do is just wait for mom to go to sleep. Then its sweet sweet revenge. They always talk about respecting their beliefs yet don't even care about respecting ours. I want you all to envision a world without the dark ages. Imagine the possibilities we could of had without religious oppression. Now imagine a world were a new religious oppressor is allowed to destroy civilization as we know it and replace it with religion. This war is never going to end. As long as there is a Muslim faith I am sure that they will find a passage that says they can kill us. We need to withdraw and just missile the joint next time. Sitting overseas waiting for Osama to pop up is never gonna happen. All of the intel tells us he is not there, yet we stay......and wait.........and stay...... and wait. This in my opinion is just an elaborate way to scare the home-front and drain the US economy, but who am I right. Its almost as if we are just sitting outside Pakistan sharpening and axe for this guy, hes not gonna fall for it.
"If Men are so wicked as we now see them with Religion what would they be if without it?" Benjamin Franklin.
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin and later repeated by Franklyn Delano Roosevelt.
The Terrorists made their point loud and clear. To let them scare us is just what they want. So I dont even change my routine. I dont care about being killed by terrorists because, Let them F*&^ing get me. I am going to do all those things I want in MY country regardless of if it offends them. I didn't take a huge Shiza in and Afghanistan yard yet they did us. This is just like a pompous god casting down fire and brimstone to command obedience. I had not even had the faintest idea about the Muslim faith until 911. The Muslims are like the ex girlfriend you never wanted. Always breakin shit......Demanding attention....."I never get any respect" .......Sleep with me or Ill kill you. That kind of shit.
Im breakin up with you radical Muslims. I dont know how you get that we are an item .....but we are not.. move on before I break my foot off in your ass

From Diana West:
http://www.dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryId/1365/Fox-Reports-Retribution-Coul...
Have been meaning to post about a sicko Islamic death threat video about "South Park" founders Matt Stone and Trey Parker, with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Theo van Gogh, Salman Rushdie, Geert Wilders, Kurt Westergaard and Lars Vilks rounding out the cast of those similarly targeted for "offending" Islam, even as I have been simultaneously monitoring the reluctance (read: fear) of the MSM to report the story, period.
Imagine: Mega-star animators Stone & Parker are threatened with death by jihadists for their "South Park" cartoon satirizing Mohammed for being off limits to mockery (to the point, in the cartoon, where both redheads or "gingers" and celebrities all want some of what he's got), and the MSM, most of it, wants to pretend nothing is happening.
It's happening, whether clean shaven in Geneva, or in beards in Brooklyn.
By "it" I mean submission to Islam.
And what to make of this Fox News headline on the story?
'South Park' Creators Could Face Retribution for Depicting Muhammad, Website Warns"Retribution"???? My Webster's tells me retribution means "1. deserved punishment for evil done, or, sometimes, reward for good done; merited requital. 2. in theology, reward or punishment in another life for things done in this.
Did News Corp stakeholder, Saudi scion, and Murdoch crony Prince Talal bin Alwaleed write the headline?
Updated: Even if it is the "website" that "warns" of retribution, Fox needs at the very least the padding of quotation marks around "retribution" to put some needed distance between it and them.
