Neo-Nazis and Police Shamed in Downtown Los Angeles - 4.17.2010
The city of Los Angeles erupted saturday april 17, 2010 as 40 nazis, 300 police and 2000 counter demonstrators took the streets. What a beautiful day in the neighborhood as the people of Los Angeles showed up to either peacefully or militantly protest this racist convergence in a city that is 70% or more POC (people of color). The city was strategically picked by the nazis (National Socialist Movement - NSM) in order to spread their racist agenda calling for the forceful deportation of ALL PEOPLE NOT OF THE ARYAN RACE, as well as prosecution of race traitors. As they took the lawn (protected by an army of police officers) they tore up a Mexican flag and an Israeli flag and directed childish taunts at the crowd, who, if it weren't for the 300 cops would have proceded to beat some nazi ass.
Two people were beaten by counter demonstrators. One was a man (seemingly homeless or otherwise disenfrancished) who walked FROM THE LAPD HQ across the street to the protest and removed his shirt to reveal a number of rascist and nazi tattoos (swastika, 100% honky, nazi lightning bolts, SS). He was pointed out, surrounded, and pushed back. At some point someone started throwing down and the man was beaten, but not severely. He was able to walk over to the other side under police protection. The fact that he came directly from the LAPD HQ suggests that he was paid off and sent out to incite a riot. This is supported by the fact that as soon as this man was beaten, the cops suited up in FULL RIOT GEAR.
The other man who was beaten was carrying a highly ambiguous sign that said Christianity-->Paganism-->Heathens-->Swastika with flames and "burn in hell" on the bottom. On the back he had two equal rights stickers. This man was apparently mistaken for a nazi and beaten, but not severly. He was able to walk with police escort to the other side.
As far as I know, only one counter protestor was arrested and charged with a felony for beating up the nazi. Some protestors were beaten by the cops with batons. AND IRONICALLY, most of the cops in line were brown or black.
The nazi speakers were drowned out by chants, and run out of town. They are a bunch of ignorant racist cowards. The cops were broken down by the militants and agitators. At least two cops were seen crying. They are a bunch of weak fascist pawns.
So folks, We are a decade into the new millenium and still, we have nazis permitted to spread racists ideologies from the pulpit (ivory tower, LA's city hall). The question is WHY does our country permit and protect HATE SPEECH on such a disgusting level? - DO NOT CONFUSE FREE SPEECH WITH HATE SPEECH!!!!! - Cmon, 300 police army to protect some ignorant rascists spreading violence and hate?? How much did that cost the city of LA?? How many school programs and healthcare programs will be cut to fund this type of police activity? How many more brown and black brothers and sisters will be affected by racialized violence? How many more families will be murdered on the border by minute men? When will the LAPD stand up for the people, not face off with them?? When will the US GOVERNMENT stop perpetuating genocide???
