    • look islam teaches us not to judge so i think there is a thing like freedom of speech but not at any religions expense, i find certain things that you do incorrect as well but i dont draw pictures about it and slander your prophets and yes you may think that your prophet is mighty and all of that thats your opinion as my opinion would differ which brings up again the freedom of speech as as we say its a free contry --- than let the muslims worship freely and dont create a problem for yourselfs, muslims believe in unity and yes we are a very huge community and we are peacefull people ... if the united state wants to blame what they have sone with their own hands on the muslims and look for an escape goat ... than thats your sistuation and you guys are so childish that you have this itch inside and all you guys can do is write on all sorts of stupid blogs coz you cant do anything creative and yes muslims will take up the matter of protecting the holy prophet and the drawings that are displayed , and we will not alow you to slander the prophet in anyway no matter in which country you are in, there are legal steps that can be taken against nitwits that got nothing better to do.... yes it is a free country and a right of opinion but if you want the truth than yes my prophet is better that yours by far.... try as you might and fight as hard as you will and do what you must deep down you know that the truth is going to over power all of you thats why after reading this you guys will be angry and write hate note etc but all because you know im right!

      islam always

oh and by the way this has all been said the the right to my own opinion and freedom of speech... lol

    • A Muslim dies and finds himself before the Pearly Gates.

He is very excited, as all his life he has longed to meet the Prophet Muhammad. Having arrived at the Gates of Heaven, he meets a man with a beard.

      'Are you Muhammad?' he asks.

'No, my son. I am Peter. Muhammad is higher up.

And he points to a ladder that rises into the clouds.

Delighted that Muhammad should be higher than Peter.

he climbs the ladder in great strides,

climbs through the clouds coming to a room where he meets another bearded man.

He asks again, 'Are you Muhammad?

'No, I am Moses. Muhammad is higher still.

Exhausted, but with a heart full of joy.

he continues to climb the ladder and, yet again,

he discovers an even larger room

where he meets another man with a beard.

Full of hope, he asks again, 'Are you Muhammad?

'No, I am Jesus...You will find Muhammad higher up.

Muhammad higher than Jesus! The poor man can hardly contain his delight and climbs and climbs, ever higher. Once again, he reaches a larger room where he meets a man with a beard and repeats his question:

      'Are you Muhammad?' he gasps,

as he is, by now, totally out of breath from all his climbing.

'No, my son...I am God. But you look exhausted.

      Would you like a coffee?'

      'Yes, please, my Lord'

God looks behind him, claps his hands and calls out:

      'Hey, Muhammad, two coffees!'

South Park is dragging an entire corporation and its employees into a holy war they didn't ask for.

Why should Comedy Central put it's employee's lives at risk just because South Park wants to make fun of a religion?

    • The paintbrush/pen/pencil/crayon is mightier than the sword. Or hey, even needlepoint if you're up for it. The possibilities are endless. "Seattle cartoonist launches 'Everybody Draw Mohammed Day'," by Jamie Griswold for the Associated Press, April 23:

After Comedy Central cut a portion of a South Park episode following a death threat from a radical Muslim group, Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris wanted to counter the fear. She has declared May 20th "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day."

Norris told KIRO Radio's Dave Ross that cartoonists are meant to challenge the lines of political correctness. "That's a cartoonist's job, to be non-PC."

Producers of South Park said Thursday that Comedy Central removed a speech about intimidation and fear from their show after a radical Muslim group warned that they could be killed for insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

The group said it wasn't threatening South Park producers Trey Parker and Matt Stone, but it included a gruesome picture of Theo Van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker killed by a Muslim extremist in 2004, and said the producers could meet the same fate. The website posted the addresses of Comedy Central's New York office and the California production studio where South Park is made.

"As a cartoonist I just felt so much passion about what had happened I wanted to kind of counter Comedy Central's message they sent about feeling afraid," Norris said.

Norris has asked other artists to submit drawings of any religious figure to be posted as part of Citizens Against Citizens Against Humor (CACAH) on May 20th.

But drawings of one "religious figure" in particular will provoke death threats and accusations of hatred and racism.

On her website Norris explains this is not meant to disrespect any religion, but rather meant to protect people's right to express themselves.

    • I think the problem with this issue is not if mohammed is depicted or not... but when? At what line do you say that Mohammed is depicted. You could potentially draw a line on a piece of paper... or a smudge... or even take another drawing (for example, donald duck), label is Mohammed, and in all logical forms, that would be as much a drawing of mohammed as any other drawing of mohammed.
So it's actually impossible not to depict Mohammad in some way because he's always being depicted if you define everything as a depiction of Mohammed.
I think South Park made this point pretty clear in episode 200... we could all learn something from those guys.

    • So wait... the reason that Islam has a taboo against Muhammad being depicted is that someone may or may not "insult" him?

What kind of freedom hating nonsense is that? Muslim or not, all of us need to agree that this line of thought is not rational. Being insulted is no excuse for senseless violence and oppression. People need to stop being influenced by threats. When that happens, terrorism is allowed to work.

Guess what... Drawing a picture of Muhammed IS allowed. It's protected in the US by something called Free Speech. Because the idea that you aren't allowed to draw a picture of Muhammed is much worse than the idea of insulting Muhammed.

Atheists are right-- there is no scientific proof of God.

But they forget that Theology is outside of the realm of Science. Science doesn't tell us what is moral, or ethical, or anything else that may happen to be outside the realm of what science is capable of telling us.

Science is a philosophy of skepticism and empirical evidence, and as such has no ability to explore metaphysical questions, which have nothing to do with skepticism or empirical evidence, and everything to do with subjective experience.

They are simply two different, separate, and exclusive realms of knowledge and thought.

I respect the reasoning behind the ban on graven images in Islam (and Judaism).

I also respect the freedom of speech. Those that practice Islam can impose on themselves whatever rules they want. But not on other people.

What makes you so sure Jesus wasn't a real person? Surely, much of what's written about him is parable and fiction.

But what makes you so sure that there WASN'T a Rabbi who taught in Jerusalem named Jesus of Nazareth, who was killed by Romans fearful of insurrection?

As someone who has studied Islam... Muhammad is more likely a real person than Jesus, simply because the Qur'an was right after Muhammad's death by people who knew him; the Bible was written centuries after Jesus had died.

Images of Muhammad are banned in Islam to prevent the worship of "false idols." It's God who is supposed to be worshiped, not His prophet.

I guess I should go down the line here:

Earl: How did you come to the conclusion that the burden of proof is on theists? By what definition are atheists correct? That you cannot see God? Can you see gravity? How about happiness, sadness, or any other emotion?

Asherp: There is no scientific evidence that explains where the materials that existed before the Big Bang came from either. Neither is there any evidence that explains why we dream, sleep, or die.

CalgarC: Doctors once used science to justify transfusing milk to patients instead of blood. It didn't work. The Earth was once the center of the universe, or at least, that's what science said. Imagine what science will open our eyes to tomorrow..

    • wow... even we, modern muslim do not know how Muhammad look like but you non muslim can draw it perfectly... there is no need to be offensive and mean just for the sake of freedom of speech... no need to say that islam is a violent religion if the muslim are...

we muslim do not need Muhammad' picture or portrait to believe in him... he will always in our heart.. whether you are not believing in any religion or have a weak faith doesnt mean you can say and do whatever you want to other believers... i admit that some muslim were not setting a good example of muslim for the non muslim, but if the muslim is wrong just blame on us... do not need to insult the most important people to us...

      please show respect... peace....

I empathize with your concern, but you have to recognize the gap here. South Park has been making fun of Christianity for years. It might be somewhat offensive to Christians, but it's a joke. For crying out loud, it's a cartoon!

The reason people are so upset with these radical Muslim groups is that they are completely overreacting to this joke. Remember when you were little, and your friend/brother/whatever would do something, and it would make you mad, so they would just keep doing it? That's the issue here. Nobody is attacking Islam except a handful of radical, and publicized, Muslims.

if the radical muslim is the issue here why didnt they make jokes about them..?? why it has to be Muhammad..?? me myself despise those radical, extremist muslim because being extremist is not part of islamic teaching...

in islam. making joke is fine as long as it doesnt hurt anyone's feeling... just because you do not take jokes seriously, it doesnt mean that everyone do the same...

yes i remember when i was little there were some of my friends made jokes that annoying me.. but they never crossed the line.... but this... insulting our beloved prophet is way cross over the line... you know..? in some countries, if you said that their country or people stupid, they will just kill you... everyone has their own part of sensitivity...

about the qurayza tribe that you mentioned earlier... there were a lot of tribes in arab on that time.. even Jewish had a lot of tribes other than qurayza.. so the reason of mohammad beheaded qurayza people not because they are Jewish.. there is something you need to know about arabian tribes on that time(Jewish and non jewish).. they have this over-obsession for they own tribe(its called assabiyah) that thay are willing to kill any other people from tribe beside them.. almost all of the tribes have this kind of obsession... so when mohammad open a new country. he made a contitution.. one of the 47 agreements in the contitution is the the in order to maintain peace between tribe, qurayza tribe must not help the enemy of nazir tribe in war and vice versa.. but qurayza tribes broke the treaty... they support the war against nazir tribe... they trying to start a war.. tribes war.. so, to prevent any bigger conflict mohammad had to take action and kill the man power of soldiers of qurayza were almost all killed.. yes the qurayza women were enslaved but they were given correct guide of islam and get islamized.. and then they were released... that was it.. the qurayza tribe was a trouble maker.. they didnt keep their word and they willing to start a big conflict...

there.. you understand that..?? its not because they are jewish.. its because they are trouble maker... words do not work with them... just because you know one fact of mohammad, you had the right to say he is a rapist..?? a slaves owner..?? whut about you read alquran.. you will know the whole story of mohammad...

what you said about muhammad is mostly untrue... he's no rapist.. what is the girl's name he raped..?? yes he was a slave owner.. he owned them and release them from slavery... he bought the slaves then released them... you think why the slaves or ex-slaves liked him very much..?? you know what..?? one of the group of people who firstly go to him to learn about islam were slaves, poor people and women...
if he is such what you said(rapist, liar, bandit, slave owner) how do you think he can influence people to transfer from their feudal religion to islam and build first islamic country(Madinah&Mecca)...?? and if he hated Jewish that much, why did he gave citizenship and right in politics to Jewish when the country had been built, plus he gave protection to them from muslim who hated them on that time..??

reading your text i found that most of your content was only your own opinion...

You say, "yes the qurayza women were enslaved but they were given correct guide of islam and get islamized.. and then they were released" - why is it that because they were "given correct guide of islam and get islamized" that they were released? I say this because I was always surprised that hostages taken by radical Muslims are often "given the opportunity to convert to Islam" and, thereby, saved from execution. This is, I think, the cruxt of the problem - their tribe was decimated and they were taken as slaves - how "islamized" do you think they really were?? There is a reason common law says that contracts signed under distress are not valid - there is not true agreement because the only reason someone would agree under duress is not because they agree, but because they fear for their life! That is not true devotion or belief - it is self-preservation, and do you really think Allah would want people saying the believed in Islam just because they are afraid of losing their lives or because they truly believe in his teachings? Scaring people into the religion does not serve the religion well - the rest of the world are waiting for radical Muslims to realize this.

I'm not a Muslim, but I can respect the reasoning behind the ban on graven images.

I agree that for a person to show pictures of the prophet Mohammad just for the sake of pissing people off is incredibly disrespectful.

However, until Muslims stop killing people for violating religious rules, which they only have the right to impose on themselves (many of which I think are good rules to self-impose), people will continue to be disrespectful for the sake of eliciting a reaction.

I also find it incredibly disrespectful, but I think its even more disrespectful that there are death threats against those who made the drawings.

Peace will not be had through violence, nor disrespect. Both sides need to learn humility and grace.

Here is the hatred towards jews in the Koran. Enough of your pernicious taquiya!

Qur'an 2:61 "Humiliation and wretchedness were stamped on the Jews and they were visited with Allah's wrath."
Qur'an 4:44 "Have you not considered those to whom a portion of the Book has been given? They traffic in error and desire that you should go astray. But Allah has full knowledge of your enemies. Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places, saying, 'We hear and we disobey' with a twist of their tongues they slander Faith.... Allah has cursed them for disbelief."
Qur'an 4:47 "O you People of the Book to whom the Scripture has been given, believe in what We have (now) revealed, confirming and verifying what was possessed by you, before We destroy your faces beyond all recognition, turning you on your backs, and curse you as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers, for the decision of Allah Must be executed."
Qur'an 4:160 "For the iniquity of the Jews We made unlawful for them certain (foods) in that they hindered many from Allah's Way, that they took usury, though they were forbidden, and that they devoured men's wealth on false pretenses, We have prepared for those among them who reject [Islamic] Faith a painful doom."
Qur'an 5:59 "Say: 'People of the Book! Do you disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and the revelation that has come to us and that which came before?' Say: 'Shall I point out to you something much worse than this by the treatment it received from Allah? Those who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those of whom He transformed into apes and swine."
Qur'an 2:64 "But you [Jews] went back on your word and were lost losers. So become apes, despised and hated. We made an example out of you."
Ishaq:240 "The Jews are a nation of liars.... The Jews are a treacherous, lying, and evil people."
Qur'an 33:26 "Allah made the Jews leave their homes by terrorizing them so that you killed some and made many captive. And He made you inherit their lands, their homes, and their wealth. He gave you a country you had not traversed before."
Ishaq:250 "The bestial transformation occurred when Allah turned Jews into apes, despised."
Qur'an 59:14 "The Jews are devoid of sense. There is a grievous punishment awaiting them. Satan tells them not to believe so they will end up in Hell."
      Ishaq:254
Qur'an 2:96 "We will not remove a Jew from the punishment. They know the shameful thing that awaits them."
Qur'an 4:55 "Sufficient for the Jew is the Flaming Fire!"

really, the palastinian issue really? cristian society hits mohamed not even islam as a faith and with almost no provocation you default to the israeli/palastinian conflict?really?wtf?
iran needs nukes cuz of the palastinians.
terrorism at munich because of the palastinians.
muslums in new jersey celebrating 9-11 cuz of the palastinians.
yet no meaningfull effort to help the palastinians, cuz then what would be your excuse for any and every trespass?
not to mention you dont acknowledge it takes two to tango
did the muslum arabs in 1948 not refuse a coallition government?
did they not slay jews at will for hundreds of years in the name of dhimi law?
in 67 did they say to jordan, egypt, and syria no war lets try peacefull methods?
why is how israelis treat them bad but suicide bombings are ok?
how is random rocket launchings towards civilians any better or worse than israel targeting hamas leaders.
exactly how does finger pointing help resolve anything?

evangelicals take money from thier followers in the name of god

mormons restrict freedom based on joseph smiths teachings
      they mock joseph smith
islam claims to be supreme yet has all the problems all religions have

we are talking about 1400 years ago where slavery was an acceptable, legitimate trade not only in arab.. but in all over the world... owning a slave wasnt considered a sin until mohammad appeared.. mohammad was the first arabian who was determined to ban slavery but its can not be done in just a second... he need to set a good example to his brothers(muslim) by releasing his own... and the idea of all human are equal was slowly accepted in arab.. arab was on of the early countries that banned slavery... and mohammad spreaded the idea of slavery banning at the same time as islam spreaded...

Any "Man"(Woman) should be able to command the SAME respect from their fellows,... that would be due to an UNFAMILIAR,....UNFETTERED dog of their equivalent body mass.. Any individual who for any reason,...CAN NOT command such respect,...is not worthy of respect AS A HUMAN.

We are LETHAL man. This is what MAN is.

note---that is not to say,... that such unfortunates are not worthy of note,...or compassion,...or care. But HUMAN society is based on the consensus and the balance of wills amongst [SCARY>>>WARRIOR>>equals]. (If its not,.....then why do those with REAL BALLS bother to engage in the discourse)?

does the reverse not apply?why must the secular moniter thier beliefs and values in accordance to the values of the religious.why is it impossible for the religious to accept others beliefs aswell?no one is asking any muslum to be any less of a muslum. nobody is attemting to touch, corrupt, alter,or even threaten the institution of islam (im sure you recognize the difference between the crusades and modern western culture) then how is it acceptable for islam to demand we change our beliefs?

      http://on.th

why does the opposite not apply?why is it incumbent on the secular world to behave in a manor that is suitable to the islamic world?just as crusading is disgusting the idea that islam can impose its will on us is the same crime.while the offenses may differ the crime being committed is the same, spanish inquasition and so on.this islamic idea and freedom of speech can and has happily coexisted without either side having to give up anything.peace is available but not opted for. the important question is if this peace that existed before is now broken who is the aggressor. and it doesnt matter what you say or do a picture can never possess the aggression greater than the threat of death

of course individual people dont represent the entirety of a religion, cuz theres a nut in ever bunch.but one of the many points of living according to a religion is because we are fallable so we look to the ideas(god)that are infalable to live our lifes as best we can.(if we were perfect religion wouldnt exist)so if a system(religion) has multiple identical failures it is evidence of that systems flaws. just as prius's had that brake issue. you cant say its not toyota its the individual cars, those cars functioned as toyota dictated. you cant expect any reasonable logical person to say that the overwhelming amount of terrorism in contemperary history commited by muslums are isolated incidences of sick people who all happen to be muslum.
i personaly believe islam is a religion of peace but it isnt as perfect as muslums find it to be and as a result of being blind to the flaw you disable the collective islamic communities ability to adress and fix it. what if nobody ever thought the crusaders were wrong in thier endevours.they would still be slaughtering arabs in the streets.

when individual people do dumb shit as a one off they get nailed for it. thier is a great volume of terrorist mockery but after a while you cant help but notice islam being a part of the thing your mocking.
of course every priest isnt a pedophile.in actuality of the pedophelia in the world the church is a tiny fraction of a percent but the repeated occurances of priests peepee touching makes the churchs association unavoidable.
despite salmon being enjoyed by billions of people across the planet a salmon on a sandwich is somehow jewish.
thats why mohomed gets associated, its not a lack of understanding on our part but jihadist after jihadist telling us they do as they do for islam.its muslums defendng jihadists.its the people of edison new jersey dancing in he streets as the towers fell, thats where the association comes from.dont get mad at judeo-christian society when you cant tend your own backyard

I understand that. But the Muslim Community on the whole needs to start getting better at self-policing.

Civil Rights Leaders had to do so here in America during the Civil Rights movement. There were those who advocated taking up guns, and burning down buildings, and shooting racist cops.

Gandhi had to do so during his various campaigns. Many of his followers advocated violence, it he called for non-violent actions.

Muslim leaders need to start getting serious about denouncing violence as a means to an end.

A slave, by definition, is not "free" to make such a decision. Anyone who saw their tribe murdered by their captors and enslaved by those captors would be fearful, even if their captors told them their lives weren't threatened if they didn't convert to Islam. I've read an article by a female journalist who was taken hostage by radical Muslims who discussed the absurdity of her captors trying to convert her to Islam. She felt that, after everything she had seen up to this point (journalists having their heads chopped off on camera), she had no choice but to act as if she had converted and I think they either let her go or she was rescued, but either way, she never truly converted and only acted as if she did to save her own life. She didn't know if her captors would or would not kill her, but she knew she needed to do whatever they told her and that she had to lead them to believe she wanted to convert to Islam.

Let's get one thing straight here and it's the only issue worth considering. Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer (he personally helped to behead all 900 members of the Jewish Banu Qurayza tribe in one day), a psychotic liar, a bandit, a plunderer, a pedophile, a rapist, a slave owner. He was a 7th century Hitler, Himmler, Attila, Stalin and Mao all wrapped up in one package of psychopathic hatred and murderousness. It's all in the Sira, the OFFICIAL Muslim biography of Mohammed by Ibn Ishaq. Read it and learn. Then you will see that the only response to this repugnant scumbag is ridicule and satire.

Notice when the truth of Islam and it's demented prophet "Mo-hound" (btw the nick-name IS derogatory, and meant to be so) is exposed for what it really is, the p/c multi-culturist and Muslim apologist crawl out of the wood work like the ideologue cockroaches that they are, attempting to portray Islam as the "religion of peace" when it is exactly the opposite, which any rational person with common sense can easily perceive. . . clearly showing that common sense is all too uncommon anymore.
