Remember that thing called freedom of speech? Yeah, good times.

Now this is old news, but I just want to say my opinion about this.

I'm not a big fan of South Park (sorry) but I do think they have a right to say what ever they want about things.

If they did that over there the creators of South Park would be dead along time ago! But I don't think Muhammad should be getting all sensitive because someone decides to make a little fun.

And what about SNL? Or even people like John Stewart and plenty of others.

I'm just saying that it's foolish and cowardly to get mad all of a sudden.

    • The only thing that I will say in defense of Comedy Central is that they are not the government, and as a result they do not have to grant their writers the full extent of the first amendment. Trey Parker and Matt Stone can make whatever episode that they want, but in the end it is Comedy Central's choice whether to air it or not.

That being said, I think that Comedy Central should be ashamed of itself. To censor their writers after all this time is something that a sissy would do under the pressure of a vague threat not even made to the station but to the writers. Grow up Comedy Central. You should realize by now that most really good comedy is going to piss at someone off. Just accept it and let your writers do what they do best.

    • I support Matt and Trey in this whole business. I saw episodes 200 and 201 and they ripped on everyone equally. Hell they had Buddha doing blow in front of children and Jesus was addicted to internet porn. They didnt even insult Muhammed in fact they purposefully censored him. They also brought up the point that they had showed him twice previously in the show uncensored and there was no violence. Hell the whole purpose of the episode was to show just how ridiculous knuckling under to the threat of violence is.

    • Oh haha well my mistake. It seem it's the followers not him. I'll be sure to get my facts straight before posting.

Well then the "followers" need not to be offended. :)

Um.... Muhammad was the founder of Islam, and he's kinda dead now, so he's not the one getting sensitive, it's the followers of Islam that are getting upset, because that would be comparable to South Park making fun of Jesus... And you'd still hear flak from it, it's just because it's making fun of Islam that we hear so much more about it
