Hmm, maybe because Texas is offering JOBS and taxes are not ridiculously high like in New York or New Jersey (although they have a great governor trying to change that in New Jersey).

seems like a mass exodus from the plains. that's what jumps out to me. that and growth in Florida which I think is a direct result of baby boomers retiring from the northeast and moving down there. shows how the population is aging
