Streets Flooding in Haiti: Raw VIdeo

Although thousands continue to live in makeshift tents since the January 12 earthquake and suffer from the frequent rains, Haitians living in more stable structures are also finding the rainy season difficult.
Many in one Port-au-Prince neighbourhood spent much of the day shoveling mud off the street and wading through stagnant, knee-deep water.
In one area, hundreds of plastic bottles blocked the sewer, preventing pooling water from flowing away.
Emilio Etienne has lived in this area for 25 years. He said he could see such problems coming after the quake.
"Since the earthquake, both sides of the sewers have come together and that makes the sewers overflow. I've been to the sanitation department and they keep telling me tomorrow. And today, this is our problem," he said.
Despite millions of dollars in aid that has poured into the country, each new storm brings misery to the victims.
Forecasters predict heavy thunderstorms for the rest of the week.

The juxtaposition between the first clip of the Armani hotel in Dubai to the streets of Port-Au-Prince was great! Thanks Current. I just wish those staying in the hotel would have to stay in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere before indulging in such outlandish lifestyles. To begin to understand where people's livelihood can be damaged by rain.

My brother has been over there for awhile now, and he said that most of the people there are fine with just taking a hand out and not doing anything to help them self.

That is just insane why are these people still liveing this way. Where is all the money and equipment to get this taken care of? this is bull shit I feel that we got scammed again. people donated money by the thousands and not much is being done.I have seen places get rebuilt by a crew of old men faster than this.it must be nice to sit the donations of people drawing interest . By the way who gets all that interest ?
