Mike Tyson went vegan. He's busy protecting pigeons. He'll probably still chew your ear off.

    • There are a lot of idiots on this website. What happened Current?

Back to the story, I wonder what his motives were. Good for him though.

    • yeah, I'll maybe3 believe that in a year. He'd probably be willing to become a scientologist to rehabilitate his reputation.

Vegans don;t necessarily have a rep for being particularly mentally stable though so i'm not sure it;s going to help him that much.

    • Any cause looking for a new "face", should probably not pick the old man with multiple concussions and a facial tattoo.

Especially not a vegan who dabbled in cannibalism.

There may be one or two low cost alternatives. I'm. Not sure this is still true but it used to be that some standard grade foreign beef was retty close to organic. Argentine beef was one example. The deal was they were just power tech out there and still grass feeding their beef so they weren't doing things like prophylactic antibiotics and hormone therapy. IIRC that was the big thi g behind the angus beef trend. Just looking for angus isn't enough anymore because they became popular enough that people just started raising angus beef in feedlots, but if you can actually source the meat you may get somewhere.

Another is, if you happen to live in a larger city, your local ethnic grocery store. My local asian market for instance will have terrific deals on stuff like baked tofu (it's mot meat but it's tasty and really hard to beat the buck and a half a pound.) They will also have odd things like preserved duck eggs which have also likely avoided industrial farming.

If you need to save on that level to be able to afford a boat though, unless this is some sort of living accomidation or commercial venture boats are not known for their envestment value in general.

In fact the most famous quote on the subject I know of refers to boats as "a hole in the water into which you throe money"

boats like aeroplanes are famous for high continuing costs.
