It's worth noting that exit polls, though recently fairly accurate, do get it wrong. In 1992, they wrongly predicted a hung parliament and in October 1974, exit polls predicted a Labour majority of 144. In actual fact they had a majority of just three.

[Edit: Exit poll revised at 11pm from Tories on 307, Labour on 255 and Lib Dems on 59.]

if you want to see a political system or game that is the exact clone of the united states go to england. Just like the states the liberals are neo capitalist and differ from the conservatives on small partisan social issues, with the majority of elections being decided by the ability to advertise the public into voting a certain way. I digress and am a bit curious if anyone from "old labour" even exist anymore or is the liberals only concern is garnering middle class votes from fickle consumers, err I mean voters..
Well I guess at least its not Italy. - 2 years ago

I love it when the left wing radicals go into denial. even when they lose 95 seats...they still think they're popular. England swing like the pendulum do...come nov. they gwan be some pendulum swingin in the U.S. even the dullest dumbed downs cant overlook American soldiers as "enemies of the state" & lap tops for taliban programs...

I imagine there will be another election. The brits dont do coalition governments like other countries. If of course they do decide to take that path of a coalition government, i bet it will be Labour and Lib. Dems.
Im hoping the Labour stays in power, or form a coalition with Lib Dems., afterall they are going to try and revise the constitution to better represent voters. Lib Dems are expected to get about 25% of the vote yet they are only expected to have about 9% of the seats?!?!
