This fascinating essay, written by King Hussein's grandfather King Abdullah, appeared in the United States six months before the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. In the article, King Abdullah disputes the mistaken view that Arab opposition to Zionism (and later the state of Israel) is because of longstanding religious or ethnic hatred. He notes that Jews and Muslims enjoyed a long history of peaceful coexistence in the Middle East, and that Jews have historically suffered far more at the hands of Christian Europe. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/recent-news/344-as-the-arabs-see-the-jews

    • but fails to recognize the cultural institution of dhimi law wich is the belief that as a result of islam being supreme all must submit to it.
sure they have no problems with jews or christians as long as they submit to dhimi law. the ultimate catch 22.
while europe killed 6 million over 6 million jews (who resided in arab territories egypt, iran, syria, and so on) vanished.
it wasnt like they all ended up in israel. the number of jews who emmigrated from arab territories to israel was less than the number that came from europe.the rest simply ceased to exist.
why after thousands of years of jews living in these territories with no prejudice did they all of a sudden decide to leave thier homes in favor of creating a society in the desert from scratch?
