Teabaggers Electoral Debut Proves a Bust

Tea party-backed challengers and other outsiders were shut out in competitive House and Senate primaries across three states on Tuesday night, the busiest night so far in an election season of optimism for Republicans.

While some of Tuesday night's Republican primary winners struggled to prevail; former Indiana Sen. Dan Coats' comeback bid advanced with 40 percent of the vote in a five-way race; the results renewed a debate about the clout of the insurgents in the remaining primaries and on elections this fall.

As the Washington Post's Dave Weigel points out "candidates of or supported by the tea party movement fell short":

Tell you the truth ive been very disappointed with Obama and the dems. Hes too much of a centrist and the democratic party is full of pussies. They are however superior to the republicans in congress who have done NOTHING and proposed NOTHING for the past year and a 1/2. Fuck the two party system and fuck the obstructionist tactics. We need real change in America and fast... the rest of the world is leaving us behind.

      1. Student loan reform
      2. Health Care Reform - Though I wanted him to add in the public option, I knew it would have been political suicide because of people like you who are misinformed.
      3. Obama has completely change US foreign policy for the better. We are more respected in the world and therefore safer.
      4. Soon to be completely withdrawn from Iraq
      5. Focused more on Afghanistan and Pakistan
      6. Turned our economy from almost a depression to what it is now, which is MUCH better off than it was when he came to office.
      7. Allowed stem cell research
      8. Working to get rid of DADT
      9. Started the long arduous process of closing guantanamo bay.

Thats a starter for you. And it would have been MUCH MUCH more if not for republicans who have claimed everything he does is on the road to communism.

What do you mean? They're platform is: we were fine until a black guy got elected. Now we're getting taxed too much even though there have been no tax increases!

It's not just a coincidence that the group was created about the same time Obama was elected.

exactly so when it comes time to vote the fear of thier racism being exposed prevents them from offering a platform.
its a racist circle jerk all done with a wink and a nod, wich doesnt rally electorate interest
