After the election the BNP failed to win any seats, lost their council seats and lost £131,500 in election deposits. The Guardian, also reports the party is facing new legal threats after it failed to make the changes to the BNP constitution. "The court case could potentially see the BNP's leader, Nick Griffin, jailed or fined for contempt of court, or see party assets seized, lawyers believe."-The Guardian.
The changes refer to the membership of 'non-white' members, though the changes put in place says BNP members would stage a vetting process at the new members house, which is seen by the judge and everyone else as opportunity for party intimidation. Though further changes show how the party still refuses to remove the racist clauses,
"This seems like a slightly hapless attempt to get round the injunction by moving the offending section to a different part of the constitution," said Paul Epstein [...]The section relating to the "indigenous British" remains in the new constitution, under the heading "Temporary amendment". Gavin Millar QC, a specialist in election and discrimination law from Doughty Street chambers, said this appeared to breach the court decision"-The Guardian.
From reading the article, it sounds like the BNP will be spending more time in court if they carry on with attempts that are being ruled as avoiding the injunction.

Although it would be lovely to see Nick Griffin dragged through the courts and publicly trashed, in some ways I would rather he just found some rock to crawl back under and go away for good.
