BP will pay nothing. They will recoup the costs from the consumer, and that is only after 25 years of court battles. The opening salvo is the three companies Transocean, BP, and Halliburton, each blaming each other on Capital Hill yesterday. That alone will take years of litigation to sort out. It’s all a scam, and they will probably get away with it in the end. Let‘s say the year 2035 for litigation, 2200 for nature to clean up.
