Heroic lone young Jew at demonstration in LA stands up for rationality and justice, confronting the hate.

crystalman
This young man is a symbol of Jewish isolation in the face of what is now gathering pace and venom across the world, as it goes progressively mad.

His single-minded act of bravery has made him an icon in the world of decency. This video was picked up by a major media outlet and has since gone viral.

Daniel is a symbol of the Jewish People : through him, the world can understand how David vanquished Goliath, how little Israel vanquished the arab nations surrounding it in 1967. Undeterred, he marched unflinchingly among the screaming, enraged, murderous crowd.

HE WON.

May his example be a beacon of light in a sea of violence, ignorance and hatred. I salute him, just as I salute the brave soldiers who dared face the murderous Muslim thugs, armed only with paintball guns and small pistols.

    • That's why George Mason influenced Thomas Jefferson to withhold
signing the Constitution unless & until they ratified the Bill of Rights
along with it. The First Amendment is the foremost for the most
important of reasons. You would not be living in a Democracy without
it. Ie. The First Amendment was invented for this young Jewish guy,
It wasn't invented for the majority. The majority don't need a right
to expression, Duh, they already have the power in numbers. The
right was invented to counter the tyrany of the majority, what Jefferson
loathed and detested most of all. He didn't want an ugly mob of hate
mongering rabble make loud appeals to emotion and create lynch
mobs in public. Remember that only 1/3 of all American colonists
supported the American Revolution. Equaly another 1/3, the Tories
were loyal to the Crown of England despite all its oppression because
they feared the anarchy & chaos resulting from the Revolution would
cause a general breakdown of law & order exactly like this. During the
American Revolution and the Civil War people got a chance to witness
that breakdown of law & order not only happen, but proliferate. I admire
people who face armed thugs themselves armed with only paintball guns.
But then I've been admiring Bar Rafieli's measurements, and Leonardo
Di Caprio's taste too. P.S. If you follow the Jewish Missionary channels,
they forcast that the intermarriage of Jewish & Arab people will, in time,
accomplish what thousands of years of failed diplomacy couldn't: Peace.

why did they attack egypt again, oh yeah egypt sent all the peace keepers from the un out of sanai and placed its entire military force along israels border with them.
but despite destroying egypts military (aswell as syrias, and jordan) they never marched into cairo or aman or demascus.

      defense not offense

where have you been, so much jew bashing going on around these parts, and you missed it.im surprised as it is your theme

    • I'd suggest we find the truth of this incident threw investigation, it seems both groups where protesting without knowing much about this incident.

I would like to note that the physical intimidation showed by the anti-israel group is so counter productive and if that type of tactic is used the world will once again back Israel.

    • This is what I thought would be a good idea for this conflict.

Instead of Israel dropping bombs, they drop books for kids, and toys for kids. Maybe it wont win the battle, but the young Palestinian kids would definitely question what is told to them about Israel for generations. Psychological warfare, win them with love. the older generation is too stuck in their ways, but those kids, the only info they have is whats told to them which is "Israel is why your life sucks, Israel sucks" So what if that was challanged completely and kids got endless supply of toys from Israel, maybe some kind of evolution would happen?

I'd like to hear your ideas or opinions on this.

not to be contrary but its been tried, in fact (when im less tired) ill find the story posted on here about "evil israelis hurting kids by dropping pamplets on them". its like that dipshit friend that you buy a pack of cigarrettes for and instead of saying thank you asks if your trying to kill him.

but its a percentage game, no israeli influence in gaza can outweigh hamas influence.you have to remember these (not all but enough) are people who used to get half an hour heads up phone cals before rocket attacks, and instead of protecting thier kids, they put thier kids on the roof to prevent the airstrikes.this is a place where markets sell exacution and torture videos of collaberators. if collaberators serve as snuff film fodder, would you dare be caught with a jewish provided anything?plus thier tv has been running anti israel propaganda for decades.

the internet is the only answer.like the young kids in iran, they too will begin to see how they are manipulated more by thier own than by anyone else.

    • @Miglue, you are correct about having no control over the future. I am not by any means a Biblical scholar. However, the Lord is regarded, in the Bible, as the Alpha and Omega (Beginning and End). Since we had a beginning, it seems reasonable that we will also see an end, as discussed in the King James Bible. This Bible also predicts that the World will rise against Jerusalem with an army of 200 million arrayed against the Holy City. Then to be destroyed by fire from Heaven, thus bringing to birth a new Heaven and new Earth. Who am I to argue with this prophesy? You would think that intelligent Muslims would also thoughtfully regard these words from God/Allah.

So where's the problem?? i say let "his will be done" i'm just going to sit back and wait for the day i have always known is coming. i'm growing tired of this world and the people in it anyway. it has become more and more difficult to live ones life in peace and happiness, its about time to put us all out of our misery. well not tomorrow cuz i'm too young to die but soon enough.

The first reason is Psalm 121:4 "Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep.". May G_D Bless you young man as he has Blessed your parents.

Israel -- rightfully so -- invoked its right to self-defense on the Mavi Marmara. While the majority of ships in the flotilla -- five out of six -- reacted peacefully when approached by Israeli Defense Forces, activists on board the Mavi Marmara were clearly bent on a violent confrontation.

To the extent that this act was in protest of the Gaza blockade, let's be clear: Hamas could end the blockade at any time by recognizing Israel's right to exist, renouncing violence, and releasing Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier held by the militant group since 2006.

    • First, both Israel and Hamas lie so much that I cant take the sides of either, but to save all you statisticians some time. read and weep. references for everything at the bottom and guess what? some of these statistics are made by Jews. So please read this, research this, and stop promoting your bias hate mongering crap, both sides are acting dumb, and you sir are making this shit worse. here we go

The total over 5 years is that there have been 5.5 Palastinian children killed for every Israeli child killed.

Now we all know Hamas deals in randomly fired rockets. But Israel on the other hand is supposed to be a nation state and therefore liable to the rules of engagement and UN Declaration on Human Rights/Children.

But these figures indicate that children are either targeted or that the IDF just fire indiscriminantly with no consideration whatsoever for children being about. Guerilla warfare or not those stats are sickening.

(numbers in parentheses represent casualties under age 18)
      Year Deaths
      Palestinians Israelis
      2004 828 (179) 108 (8)
      2003 588 (119) 185 (21)
      2002 1032 (157) 421 (37)
      2001 467 (82) 191 (36)
      2000 279 (83) 41 (0)

      Total 3194 (620) 946 (112)

So the ratios of Palistinians to Israels dead are:-

      2000- 7.6/1
      2001- 2.44/1
      2002- 2.45/1
      2003- 3.17/1
      2004- 7.66/1

Over those 5 years the total is 3.37/1.

But perhaps more interesting is the death toll of children

      2000 83/0
      2001 2.27/1
      2002 4.24/1
      2003 5.66/1
      2004 22.3/1

oh and the ast is a PDF from the UN, you can go to this wiki page scroll to the references and click on #134, thats the PDF

      1. The data may change due to ongoing research, which produces new information about the events .
      2. The figures do not include :

      * Palestinians who died after medical treatment was delayed due to restrictions of movement .
      * Palestinians killed by an explosive device that they set or was on their person .
      * 12 Palestinian citizens of Israel killed within Israel by the Israeli Police in October 2000 .
      * One Jewish Israeli citizen killed within Israel by a Palestinian-Israeli citizen in October 2000 .
      * Two Jewish Israeli citizens and One member of the Israeli security forces, killed by a Palestinian citizen of Israel in Nahariya in September 2001 .
      * Four Palestinian-citizens of Israel killed by IDF gunfire in the Territories .
      * One Palestinian-citizen of Israel killed by Border Police gunfire within Israel in July 2003 .
      * Five Palestinian citizens of Israel killed by an absconded IDF soldier on a bus in Shfar'am, within Israel , in August 2005 and the shooting soldier, beaten to death by Palestinian-citizens of Israel.
      * Seven members of the Ghaliya family (the two parents and their five children, one an adult), who were killed in June 2006 in an explosion on the coast by Beit Lahiya, in the northern Gaza Strip. The cause of the explosion remains unclear.
      * One Palestinian resident of a-Sheikh Sa'ed was killed on May 2007 during a fire exchange between Palestinian militants and Israeli policemen at the a-Sheikh Sa'ed checkpoint in East Jerusalem.
      * One Twelve-year-old Israeli child who, in August 2007 while on a family visit in the village of Saida in Tulkarm district, was killed by undercover troops who had come to arrest his brother and his brother's friend, who were wanted by Israel.
      * One Israeli citizen from Kfar Qana, who was killed in August 2007 in the Old City in East Jerusalem after he grabbed a security guard's weapon.

and crystalman your idea that Israel has the most restraint almost made me fall laughing, I'll help you figure it out. Phospherous bombs(illeagal by geneva convention) do not show restraint. Infact it makes it seem like there is more of an infatuation with death. Sorry South Korea takes the cake in terms of restraint, maybe they dont have baking powder bombs fired at them everyday, but they have a nuclear capable country next door with a guy crazier than hamas that shoots at their navy ships, kidnaps soldiers, kidnaps civilians, and shoots real missles at the South, plus had a War that killed millions. Have you heard South Korea and Phospherous bombs in the same sentence? Niether have I. But I have heard of South Korea and sanctions, meaning doing it by the laws, doing whatever they can so that innocent lives arent lost. I cant say the same for Israel or Hamas.

Here's a revolutionary idea, how about focusing on solutions for both sides rather than your unstable emotions. peace and love

I will admit my positive bias towards the Zionist Nation and the Jewish religion. I am a Christian with no family, business, or religious ties to the Zionists or Jewish in dispora. I, however. claim a respect for a largely law abiding majority of global citizens of Jewish descent that have contributed to a peaceful advancement of religious freedom and business opportunity for all people. I, on the other hand, despise the efforts of Muslims to enforce their beliefs on others through legislation, intimidation, force, murder, and terrorism. To my mind Muslims have failed their own beliefs by supporting violence in the name of GOD/ALLAH. These are godless criminals hiding behind a scarf, like women, because of their fear of being identified as a Man. Their leaders parade themselves as 'heroes'; while killing innocent men, women, and children in bombings and attacks on unarmed civilians. Yet the mainstream Muslims secretly support the extremists and the liberal media sucks up to these criminals. Normally I would not suggest this , but in your case I will; use spell check and a grammar advisor when posting, of course this will require getting out of your own box, also.

awsome, that book does sound good, thanks for elaborating on it. I'm gonna try to get a free copy online.

Further my post of death statistics showed how many Israeli and Palastinians have died, some of which come from Israeli organizations, so the statistics show what they show, for both sides. It shows the faults of boths sides as both have killed, it just happens that Israel killed more, if it makes Israel look bad, and Hamas look better, than thats what the death counts show. and my post if you read it all had this as well * Two Jewish Israeli citizens and One member of the Israeli security forces, killed by a Palestinian citizen of Israel in Nahariya in September 2001 . Thats talking about Jewish people killed, sounds like a Palestinian fault not an Israeli fault. My post is only a response to the poster of this article and his bias opinion and the untrue comments he was posting. In no way were my intentions to cite Israeli faults alone.

If the poster of the article was arguing on behalf of Palastine, and writing lies in the comments, my response would be about Hamas and their constant firing of missles on Israel, while they lie to their people and say that Israel is the aggressor.

I wouldnt even have to write that, because anyone who thinks that someone else doesnt have a right to exist, is clearly unhappy about their own existance, so they try to make the Israeli life worse in hopes that it can fullfill the emptiness that their religions create.

This song by the New Riders of the Purple Sage has increased in relevance. History repeats itself.....especially for the Jews.

When you were living in Jerusalem
Can you remember how it was back then?
Maybe I'm that man up in the sky
Did you ever stop and think and wonder why... See more

      Do you remember my friend?
How it feels like in the end?
Will you wish you had a friend?
When it all comes round again
When it all comes round again

When you were living in Pompei
Can you remember how it was that day
When all at once there was nowhere to go
Can you remember how that felt to know?

When you were living down in Spain
Here come the man of God again
Now they’ve built that fire up under you
What do you think now that you're gonna do?

When you were living down in Warsaw
Can you remember how they loved the law?
And when you heard that last knock on your door
Did you have the feeling you’d been there before?

Oh now you’re living in America
Can you remember when they traded you?
What would you have to pay to get your soul back today?
Do you remember how we got this way?

      they found:
Night-vision goggles, bullet-proof vests, and gas masks. None of that is humanitarian aid and clearly has military applications.

I don't think it was their intention to try to get missiles into Gaza on this ship, their plan was to create an international incident in the hope they could force Israel to stop the blockade so they could get the weapons in.

There really is NO logical "humanitarian" reason for the act. ALL humanitarian aid can get to the Palestinians today. All Israel asked is that the ships be checked out by the UN, or by Israel, before being allowed to go to Gaza. They can also take their aid to Egypt, which checks for contraband, then allows it to cross into Gaza.

SO it's just a lie, plain and simple, for them to say that humanitarian aid is not getting into Gaza, or to pretend that they need to go directly to a Gazan port.

over the last few years the idf has found repeated instances of weapons smuggling in frieghter ships.more often than not the ships capt and crew dont even know that they are smuggling.so weapons smuggling on the high seas is a real legitimate problem and threat.
an even greater threat are ships creating new methods of bypassing israels security, as now israel figured out the previous methods.
as for drones killing innocent families, thats war.especially when the enemy wages it from where innocent families reside.we have the same problem in iraq and afganastan, and we do the exact same thing.
anytime someone comes up with a civilian casualty free method of destroying terrorists, that will be great, but until then it is what it is.

Israel must ignore this vile onslaught. This is a 1930's Groundhog Day, nothing less where age old antisemitism is bundled into a Gazan rights issue and just as the Nazi's concocted world Jewry conspiracy slander as cover for their ultimate plan, this is also believed within the quarters who are so dim they want to believe it regardless of the facts.

This is a Manichean struggle, it's not our choice but of those who wish to eradicate anything but Islam from our planet. It's similarity to communism and fascism who tried on the same trick is manifest.

Back then the world was also stuffed with appeasers and only the prescient ones such as Churchill who hated both totalitarian dogmas stood up against the tide of servitude inducing repression.

Who will stand up for us now?

    • The intellectual and political onslaught against Israel is so stunningly dishonest as to reveal that a much deeper negotiation is going on.

Basically, almost all parts of the planet and indeed much of the chattering classes' space in the democratic West are directly or by implication supporting policies of a new Strident Irrationalism, aimed at delegitimizing not only Israel but Truth itself.

Facts in this drama count for nothing. Not the fact that if we are looking for brutal violence at sea and horrible oppression at home, North Korea leaves Israel and everywhere else on Earth far behind.

Not the fact that when Muslims are massacred almost every day they are massacred not by Israelis but by crazed Muslims.

Nor the fact that if we want to rail against crimes against humanity in the Middle East, the biggest and worst have been committed by Arab leaders against their own people.

And certainly not the fact that whereas Israel obviously operates some sort of pluralist political system, much of the Arab world is still rotten with the legacy of oppressive lumpen national socialist extremism dating back to WW2. Had the Arab world opted for pluralism and progress after the Cold War ended, the whole context for dealing with the Palestine problem would have been far easier.

Behind these malodorous hypocrisies lurks a darker force, hoping to deligitimise not only Israel but also the Holocaust and Nazi/Soviet crimes and the whole moral force of 'the West' and the Enlightenment.

However, it was deemed to be a necessary weapon of war to achieve victory. Why should Israel abandon a proven and accepted weapon of war, especially when we ourselves have used it!

    • That was a brave young man. His calmness and coherence was greatly at odds with the rabble shouting at him. In watched the boarding video and it seems clear that a minority of the passengers were trained thugs and well prepared to respond with violence; thus the beating of the boarding soldiers and attempts to dump them off of the ropes 20 ft. above the deck. You do not need a gun to kill someone at close quarters, especially when you outnumber them 10 to1. I blame the Israeli military for not firing a few rounds to clear the decks before dropping the soldiers. Pacifists do not behave in the manner of the people beating the Israeli soldiers. A review of the movie,'Ghandi' or clips of some of MLK marches would teach these new organizations a thing about peaceful protest. It is ironic that the claim is made that the ships contained wheelchairs; maybe they could donate one to the family of the handicapped elderly Jewish gentleman (Klinghoffer?), thrown off of the Achille Lauro to drown in front of his family, by Muslim terrorists. Who I am sure are now enshrined as heroes, instead of criminals. The more the liberal media and Muslim apologists approve of the criminal behavior of terrorists, the more I will despise them.

i'm all for Israel going after those responsible for rocket attacks.
And i love how they pull off covert assasinations (how we should have dealt with Bin laden)
But when your crack military gets caught killing people armed with pipes or rocks dont pull the "Defending ourselfs" card. those pipes were no threat to Israel
The lone Jew in video has balls, makes Israel look good. over reacting to a perceived threat doesnt.

OK, well let's call out this goofy response for what it is, and why.

The Israeli military has every right, and a very reasonable need, to control the shit that is flowing into Gaza. Hamas has been receiving missiles, ammunition, money, explosives, concrete for building bunkers, etc from international sources. That is why Israel blockaded Gaza. Hundreds of rockets have been shot from Gaza into Israel, causing injuries, deaths and damage.

That is what we call "TERRORISM".

The wall they build and the blockade have helped stop that.

So now along comes a little international stunt to try to undermine the blockade. The Israels gave these bastards several options: let the UN check out the cargo, dock in an Israeli port and let the Israelis check out the cargo, or be boarded and have the cargo checked.

Now, I'll give you 10 seconds to figure out which option the Muslim activists took: that's right! They refused to allow the cargo to be checked, essentially saying "FUCK YOU" to Israel, and loaded their boat up with "activists" (also known as "human shields"), useful idiots who would be harmed if/WHEN Israel did what it had to do: board the ships and check out the cargo.

The VIDEO proves that the second the Israelis approached the boat they were under attack. There was NO intention by the Muslim hoard to allow the Israelis to peacefully verify that there were no explosives or other weapons on board.

The sons of whores then attacked the Israelis with deadly force--again, beating a man with axe handle is potentially deadly, which is why any police officer under similar attack would use DEADLY FORCE to stop the assailant.

So the pipes and clubs were no threat to israel, but had there been explosives on board, those would have been. Israel doesn't care about band aids and medicines, but they don't want anymore rockets and explosives getting to Hamas.

      SURELY you can understand that

The Israelis did what ANY police officer would do under similar circumstances: they defended themselves and their comrades.

    • Listen to peace activists and humanitarian members of the infamous flotilla who are singing "Khaibar" the battle cry to slaughter the Jews:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3L7OV414Kk

Khaibar is a place of a tragic event for Jews. It was a city state where Jews lived and controlled in the Arabia. Jews were famous for their agricultural achievements and their products were distributed to far reaching areas. By the order of Mohammed the city was destroyed all Jewish men were beheaded and women and children were divided among the Muslem hordes. In fact a young Jewish girl was given to Mohammed himself as a trophy by his commander. To this day Muslems invoke this name [Khaibar] to verbalize their intention towards Israel. Iran calls it's long range missiles "Khaibar". Hisbollah in Lebanon called their missiles "Khaibar" and others including Hamas.
It is interesting to note that the same Jewish girl who was force raped by Mohammed and most likely saw the decimation of once proud Jews of Khaibar has become a thorn in the eye of Islam to this day. And here is the other side of the story: This girl mixed small Lead shavings in Mohammed's food and as we know, Mohammed died a painful death from Lead poisoning [it took him two years to die from his pains]. The "dirty" secret that Mohammed was killed by a Jewish slave girl and not a natural death which is the lot of a true prophet as they believe, is a great and everlasting thorn in their collective eyes.

    • No country has the restraint Israel has.

The flotilla was a propagated trap. Israel was caught – in a catch 22.

So now, again, the world has reason to hate Israel, because the anti-Israel propaganda machine is powerful.

In response, private Israeli citizens organized a flotilla of their own to draw attention to the fact that Hamas continues to illegally hold abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

And since the “pro-Palestinians” activists’ vessel originated in Turkey, the Israeli flotilla is also hoping to perhaps call the caring activists’ attention to the poor treatment of minorities in Turkey.

The Turks are quick to protest Israel, while they treat their own minorities as second-class citizens who are excluded from acceptance and full participation in Turkish life.

And who can forget the Turks’ genocides of Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks, and Kurds?

…Oh wait, most people can, because it is seldom mentioned. And what about the Turkish Occupation of Northern Cyprus?!!!

Perhaps Arab governments should finance the welfare of their own brothers, instead of using them as political pawns.

The money these Arab governments and terrorist organizations have spent and continue to spend on hypocritical propaganda could certainly care for their people.

People whom they don’t accept, but for whom they profess to fight.

The objective of the Arab world's propaganda strategy has been one-sided Arab "repatriation." A "return" in the name of "self-determination" of those Arab refugees who have been perceived as the Palestinian people from time immemorial, with "rights" to "their land."

In the foundation for those claims, a popular perception is that the Arabs are the only hapless refugees who were uprooted in 1948.

The world needs to recognize that there has been an irreversible exchange of Jewish and Arab refugee populations.

When the Jews were exiled from Arab countries, they were all forced to settle in Israel. Who else would greet them – other than Untimely Death?

Of note, Jacques Gauthier, a non-Jewish Canadian lawyer who spent 20 years researching the legal status of Jerusalem, has concluded: "Jerusalem belongs to the Jews, by international law."

The Arab world is nearly 200 million strong. It has millions of miles of real estate. So why does it continue to reject the minuscule Jewish state?

And finally, why are the Arabs (and much of the world) willing to sacrifice the human rights and often the very lives of their own people?

really? I think South Korea has a LOT more restraint than Israel. They lost 43 sailors to a North Korean torpedo attack and they have only asked for more sanctions. If South Korea had the Israeli government then wed been in the middle of the second Korean war right now.

That was a joke right? You realize that North Korea has killed hundreds of South Koreans since the 50's right? North Korea has shot down passenger planes, committed terrorist raids and attacked South Korea ships.

How many people have been killed in those rocket and mortar attacks on Israel? Like 100 people in 10 years? Israelis have killed 10x as many Palestinians in reprisal. And most of the Palestinian casualties are civilians.

Again i agree that Israel is entitled to its defense no doubt. The problem is their policy of disproportionate response. Think of it like this. Israel is a kid who was stung by a bee. Now instead of killing the one bee that stung them the kid decides to attack the hive itself and kills 8 bees instead of just the one. In the end the kid got his revenge but in the process he turned the whole hive against him.

so you want to equivicate violence.
cuz the stats from 2000-2007 have hundreds of israelis dying at the hands of terrorist with no casualties to palastinians. is this a fair accurate assesment of the situation no.its statisticaly accurate but a bullshit perspective meant to demonize gaza.
add a year to the stats and you got operation cast led
now its a method of demonizing israel.
whats worse using little bombs thousands of times
or big ones a couple, there is no equivication.

what would be the proportionate response?i know you arent saying israel should blow up markets in gaza to balance blown up markets in haiffa, so what is the proportionate response?

or try this one :man in the wild sees a bear and pokes it with a stick, after surviving the bear attack spends all his time and effort preparing to poke the bear with a stick again.and again, do ya blame the bear for each attack or is it expected?

The "weapons" in that video don't look like anything other than items that could be used as weapons. If that's all the evidence presented that this flotilla was made for violence, it's pretty thin.

Plus, if a ship is boarded by armed men descending from a helicopter, the terrified people on board are going to defend themselves violently. (I've seen the vid of the soldiers being attacked too.)

Any case you may have against the flotilla is obscured by this over-the-top unquestioning defense of the Israeli forces.

Your post makes no sense (but judging by your avatar, I'm not surprised)
"The "weapons" in that video don't look like anything other than items that could be used as weapons" You mean that the weapons were clearly weapons? I agree. So what's your point. They carried clubs, chains, gas masks, bullet proof vests, and dozens of wrist rockets (sling shots), not to mention at least ONE stun grenade. The videos show that they attacked the soldiers immediately.

It was well known that Israel was stopping and checking ships and these "activists" (actually, terrorist sympathizers) knew they were going to fight with Israeli Defense Forces. I guess they thought the Israelis would allow their fellow soldiers to be beaten to death without a response. Deadly force can come from a club, if you don't believe it, come visit me and let's see how you like being beaten with an axe handle.

ISRAEL SET AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO RESPOND TO MUSLIM EXTREMISM YET AGAIN.
