Yet everything Obama does is related to public relations. Every word he says is scripted. Every photo op is scripted, every move controlled by public relations. It's the same with all politicians. They tell you what you want to hear, not what is going on.
Instead of jumping on BPs shit, why not offer all the help they need? Of course, they have all the money in the world, and probably don't need ours, but instead of tying shit up with investigations right now, finger pointing, why not fix the shit, use our resources, their resources, the worlds resources, fix the leak, and worry about the investigation bullshit when things are fixed? There is plenty of time for that shit later.

The government IS trying to do All they can right now to address this situation. If we wait till the event is Over then BP will have time to cover up much of what is being and has been done, so why not start the investigation Now, unless you think the government should only do one thing at a time.

See, why are they using the money to make commercials when they should be using the money on cleaning up this mess! Every bit counts!
And there's this thing called the INTERNET! And it's FREE! Make some viral videos to spread the word!

50 mill is a drop in the bucket to BP. Everyone knows that. And paying their shareholders is part of the business. Everyone should know that. What Obama is saying is that BP obviously has the financial ability do pay these prices so it better not continue to nickle and dime the people who's lives are most affected by this mess. And I find it funny as hell that the same people that always bitch about "big government" on this site are the ones blaming the government and saying that the Obama administration is not doing enough. Make up your minds already. To me it seems like everyone is jumping the gun on criticizing anyone for this whole mess. Lets see if BP does what's needed to clean up their mess and lets see if Obama holds them to the task. There will be plenty of time for the blame game later let them focus on what needs to be done.

No JJ I don't think you understand. I am just sick of arguing with you. I can give reasons for my opinions until I am blue in the face and you will still not accept them because they are not the same as yours. I am OK with that. You are entitled to think what you want. I just do not want to discuss anything with you any more because it is pointless. So... That being said do me a favor and don't reply to any of my comments any more. I will do the same for you.

Sure, it happened on US land, so US fault right? actually, last time I checked, the oil industry is a private industry, not government owned. That's why oil industry should be government owned, so big mistakes like this don't happen, and when they do, we have someone to take responsibility for it.

Gee I wonder how much of the taxpayers money we spent to get people to comply with the census. this is private company money. As far as bribing politicians, according to Reuters the largest chunk of $ went to Obama. Obama also let BP be exempt from an environmental impact analysis of drilling in the gulf. This took place April 6, 2009. Why aren't we drilling in ANWAR or other dry land places where accidents are more easily dealt with than at 5,000 ft below the surface in 3,000 lbs/sq. in of pressure. Perhaps the Sierra Club should take some of the blame for this.
Obama is a fool and a liar. He has been a fool and a liar about a great many things but the government needs to take a lions share of the blame for this like every other disaster we have seen. What a disaster of a president. - 1 year ago

If, by "up here," you mean the Gulf Coast, then use some of your corporate induced unemployment to go back to school for a course in grammar or proof-reading. Then there is the logic of "they're trying their best," a commandment breaker if I ever heard one. Remember, "No false god's?" Corporate or otherwise.

Personally, I stopped watching the "news" along time ago, when I figured out that it wasn't the news. Right after I got back from the Nam. When I run into the "news" occasionally these days, I realize it has been good not to waste my time with BS. Try "Democracy Now" for some real news.

Like BP gives a F__k about what Obama thinks, says or does. About as much as what Obama thinks about what the people think, say or do. Short of seizing BP or putting them on the same level as North Korea......Oh, wait, we are just letting that one slide also. Well, I guess a stern tone is all that is needed. Worked for Bill Clinton. That and a dandy little cigar. Also worked well on those Israeli thugs who on June 8, 1967 murdered 34 US crewmen and wounded 171 US crewmen aboard the USS Liberty. (that was about 6 weeks before I got blown out of the Nam). We sure don't kiss Israeli butt any more do we?
Boycott BP and their brands, ARCO, AM/PM, Castrol (and they have a damn good product, which I will never buy again), Wild Bean Cafe (never heard of it) and ARAL (never heard of them neither). Visit www.citizen.org/boycott-bp
And as the sun sets on the oil stained iridescence of the once blue Gulf waters of the late and once great US of A, I bid you...........
Good manners, good missiles, good night
