      What's the statist solution? Obviously isn't working....

      In a libertarian society the people who had damage to their property would be able to sue.

      Instead, the government has made a corporatist limit to what can be charged back to Exxon.

      It's funny, everyone expects the libertarians to have concrete solutions when no statist system (which actually makes the situation worse) has yet to fix it....

      Why is it your coercive civilization hasn't fixed this yet? It's because they were lacking libertarianism and property rights, because the governments of the world own International waters and no property rights were given.

      They divert costs away from the corporatists like BP and place them on the taxpayer. Even the maximum liability limits impose a form of protectionism.

      Exxon is actually getting protectionism from the government and because there's no property rights in these government owned areas, tort law is basically excluded to favor sovereign immunity.

      Your statism has actually made the situation worse! Libertarianism would've created more of an incentive for companies to claim responsibility.

      Do you even know who the #1 polluter is?!? Your government....and you are it's serf!
