Christian Fascism - The Jesus Gestapo + documentary “Jesus Camp”

worrg
Tens of millions of Americans, lumped into a diffuse and fractious movement known as the Christian right, have begun to dismantle the intellectual and scientific rigor of the Enlightenment. They are creating a theocratic state based on “biblical law,” and shutting out all those they define as the enemy. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/recent-news/397-christian-fascism

    • What is it with Christian's expansionist attitude? I don't see people of Muslim, Buddhism, Scientologist faith acting like this. I only see people from the Christian faith with this attitude.

"Yes we want to reclaim America for Christ?" That's one of the quotes from the film. This was never supposed to be a Christian country. It's one of the main reasons Europeans starting settling here. They came here to escape religious persecution and to seek business ventures. Latins are no exception to this gustapo feel either. Missions were built to convert beliefs of current inhabitants

I'm so glad I don't live in the bible belt. Those people are nuts. Those poor kids are forced to go to church, if not they get beaten by their "loving" brainwashed parents.

the christian expansionist attitude is derived from bible passages.the new testament has among many themes to go out and spread the word.if you believe in the bible and live by it, it is more important to spread the word of god (because its jesus wants it) than what you want.no matter how mad you get at them they wont stop cuz your threats are nothing compared to gods, and he wants you to keep pushing and pushing until everyone has accepted christ into theyre hearts, and accepted him as thier lord and savior.
same religious mechanism that permits muslums to also overstep thier personal bounds with people and infringe upon the will of others.when your so sure your right, you can do whatever you want without fear of consiquence.

its funny that you dont mention jews in that, you used scientology (that spreads out for money) and buddists who have a bloody history.but no jews go out to convert ever its frowned upon

I wasn't trying to exclude any religion. The Jewish faith was just one of the religions I overlooked. When Jehovah's witness' come to my door these days, I tell them I'll take one of their brochures if they take one of mine (an explicit gay male porn brochure) They I calmy shut the door. It's a funny thing, I haven't seen them knocking on my door for a while. :\

God does not want others to harass people. And that's what those religious door to door idiots do. Never mind the psychos that stand on the street corners downtown and yell about Jesus.
