well iraq and syria werent as crafty as iran was in hiding thier efforts.iraq, and syria, kinda defaulted to regional arrogance and didnt see a need to hide what they were doing as thier world views are fairly limited to the region.iran on the other hand was born out of western influence, and keeps that in mind in all thier endevours.its not like achmadinijad needs to deny the holocaust all day every day, he knows (to some degree at least) how to play us.

this is the problem with our society being so apathetic when it comes to other cultures (not a dig at you, but all of us in general).the muslum world is full of sects, just as is the christian world.while it is forbiden for any muslum to kill another muslum, this rule of islam is abandoned as sunnis and shia both dont recognize the other as true muslums.each side practices islam based on mohameds teachings but the sunnis follow the interpratations of one of mohameds descendants, and shia another of mohameds descendants, each thinking the other is a wrong interpratation, thus making them faux muslums.
iraq is also a specific political quarrel that exploites this existing conflict to serve the needs of tyrants.saddam was a sunni loyalist.while he oppressed everyone, sunnis were not targeted unless a specific charge was thrown at them, but shia who exist as the minority in northern iraq (on the iranian border) and the southern part were defacto enemies of the state.think jews in germany during ww2 without the full effort of genocide, just regular beatings and killings.
the iraqi civil war are both sides jockying for position now that no one rules.sunnis want control out of fear of shia backlash, shia want control as a garuntee what happened yesterday doesnt happen tomorrow.

ok let me clarify, all people can kill all people regardless of race or religion.but when appealing to a people it can be difficult to use an idealogy to serve your means when that very idealogy prohibits it.of the disputes amongst muslums of what constitutes a true understanding of the religion, the overwhelming majority understand that the quran, while prohibiting killing in general,specificaly prohibits killing of muslums.it allows for killing to be done(as all abrahamic religions do) in the name of gods law, but doesnt extend that same exception to fellow muslums. so when appealing to people who you wish to do your bidding, through validating it with islam, killing of fellow muslums is a red flag that what you are peddling isnt actualy islam as you say.so osama cant fuck with daddy, or get his minions to directly fuck with daddy as that would negate his muslum street cred.but kicking the ass of those who give his daddy the power he used to exile him, is enough.
as far as iraq goes you should know sunni killing shia isnt an exception to the no muslum can kill another rule, as they each see the other as a corruption of islam, and find just basis in destroyting one another as a method of protecting islam.
