The only thing that's happened here is that Obama has appointed a panel to study how to promote healthier lifestyles. This is an appropriate thing for government to be doing because it's an appropriate thing for EVERYBODY to be doing. The problem of obesity is going to cost us triillions in healthcare in the future, and that's whether we pay for it with private insurance or taxpayer dollars. Banning hamburgers is a dumb idea; I'm hoping they'll come up with something less draconian. We can debate their proposals when they are made, but as far as I know, they haven't even met yet.
