U.S. May Pay for Child Soldiers In Somalia

The New York Times reports that the United States government is paying for children in Somalia to help defend what many argue is a near-non-existent government in one of the most impoverished and violent countries in the world, Somalia. How are US taxpayers doing this? Arming children, some as young as nine-years-old, with Kalashnikov assault rifles.

    • I guess this is where a picture can say a thousand words. I'm not even going to respond to whether it occurs. And of course our Government knows and supports it. It's the cost of doing Business. All Governments know this including the U.N. What is being done? Jack doodely squat!     • The video doe snot state the US government DOES support this, it says only the they may be by not knowing where the money goes, once it reaches there.

      When individuals, or any government send money to help the plight of the people, the country with a corrupt or no government, there is no telling where the money goes.

      i know children are soldiers, but its not anything like how this story shows it.
      thier is a huge difference between us funding an allie and militarizing children
