As even conservative media reporters watched in disgust, Metro Toronto riot squad police waded into a crowd of peaceful demonstrators in the city's tranquil theatre district on Saturday night and beat up a freelance journalist for allegedly having non-"genuine" press credentials.

Unfortunately for the three cops who laid the beating on 26-year-old Jesse Rosenfeld, a well-known news journalist and author, Steve Paikin of TV Ontario, was watching the assault and 'tweeted' a blow-by-blow account to his Twitter followers.

Which begs the question, who do you call when you're being punched out by the police? When asked to respond to the incident, Metro police said dismissively that Rosenfeld "can always file a complaint".

    • police brutality is the same all around the world, because they all follow the same rules by the same corrupt governments, hell bent on repressing the nations, ofcourse-without police there would be riots, but with police there are also riots.
