Successors of those who attacked the USSR on June 22, 1941 feel fine in political zoo of Eastern Europe
On June 22, 1941 Nazi Germany and its allies attacked the USSR. The Third Reich ceased to exist in 1945. However, some of its allies turned to be much more enduring, having demonstrated the ability to reincarnate political souls which obtained new bodies in the 21st century. These "avatars" act in modern politics, setting themselves up as protectors of democracy and fighters against the Russian threat. But they do not forget about their "previous life".

However, some of its allies turned to be much more enduring, having demonstrated the ability to reincarnate political souls which obtained new bodies in the 21st century. These "avatars" act in modern politics, setting themselves up as protectors of democracy and fighters against the Russian threat. They not only remember about their "previous life" but they are also proud of their previous "deeds".
We have discovered some of such "avatars". Today we are going to describe those of them who took part in the events of June of 1941. Others will be discussed next time.
Subtype 1. Nachtigall Battalion headed by an ex-hero of Ukraine Roman Shukhevych crossed the Soviet border at night on June 22 near the river San. After that he moved to Lviv where, according to "nationally informed" Ukrainian historians, he "was protecting roads". In the same time a pogrom took place in Lviv, during which potential enemies of occupants were slaughtered. After "the success" in Lviv, the men of Shukhevych moved to Ternopil, and later took part in fights for Vinnytsia and Brailov. Then, after a course of advanced studies, these men were moved to Byelorussia to fight against Soviet partisans.
There were only several hundreds of fighters who were chosen by Stepan Bandera and crossed the Soviet border on June 22, 1941. From the military point of view, they can not be compared with German army or even Romanian or Hungarian troops which amounted not to hundreds but to hundreds of thousands of soldiers. However, for orange government of 2005-2010 and Ukrainian expatriate community living in the USA or Canada this task force is a "true Ukrainian army" and its leaders are great Ukrainians, fighters for independence, fathers of nation, etc.
Subtype 2. Trying to prevent Moldovan soldiers from being sent to Moscow celebration of the 65th anniversary of Victory, the interim President of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu stated that his country "was defeated in the Second World War" and had therefore nothing to do with the celebration. It is clear that Mr Ghimpu does not associate "his country" with Soviet Moldavia; however, it is astonishing that he does not admit even Romania ruled by King Michael which has joined the anti-Hitler coalition in 1944 and even managed to be among the victorious states. Mr Ghimpu’s fatherland is fascist Romania of Antonescu whose army was the second biggest in the attack against the USSR, following that of Germany. Antonescu sent 325 000 of soldiers and officers to conquer new lands in the East. Having captured Kishinev on July 16, Antonescu’s army was not wholly satisfied with "retrieval" of Moldavia. Germans had promised Odessa and almost whole Novorossiya "the descendants of Romans" — as Romanian nationalists proudly named themselves. The Romanian army also assisted Germans during the attacks against the Crimea and Stalingrad. Romanian divisions were defeated in Stalingrad; few managed to return home.
Subtype 3. Hungary was among German allies who took part in the attack against the USSR. That time the country was ruled by fascist Arrow Cross Party. Hungarian troops entered the war as a part of army group "South" and reached Voronezh. There they were defeated, just like the Romanians in Stalingrad. However, Hungarians also fought against Soviet troops in their own territory. Supported by Germans, the Arrow Cross Party made a military coup in Budapest in October of 1944 and was carrying out cruel ethnic cleansings in Hungary for half a year, till March of 1945. Modern successors of the Arrow Cross Party are Jobbik party with its military division "The Hungarian Guard" which keeps even the symbols of the 1940s. Some representatives of these organizations are national parliament members and call for revision of the results of the First and the Second World Wars. By the way, an official position of Hungarian government is quite similar to position they advocate.
A zoo called "Eastern Europe". Structures genetically connected to the nazis and fascists exist in Western Europe as well; but there they are extremely marginal and banished to "the underground" of public politics. However, for Eastern Europe which is still treated in the West as an anti-Russian "sanitary cordon", another rules of political game are common. The ghosts of the past arose there, as in an abandoned graveyard, and walk along the streets freely. Moreover, they can be parliament members and take part in government activities. The first place here is held by Latvia and Estonia, where division into "Baltic residents" and "Slavic non-residents" resembles Nurnberg laws of the Third Reich.
Thus, small particles of the fascist coalition which had attacked the USSR on June 22 endured the collapse of its brain, engine, and armored tentacles. Living their own life, their ideological "avatars" continue to make their best to fight the war which began seventy years ago.
