6/24/2010 Final project for an Elon University student’s multimedia journalism class. The project focused on the difficulties of smaller political parties in terms of gaining votes and ballot access. Lon Cecil, a Libertarian candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives seat District 12, talks about why he decided to run, the importance of having smaller political parties in addition to the two major parties, and the battle the Libertarian Party in North Carolina experienced just getting on the ballot.
