Top Congolese Rights Activist Murdered

Hundreds of people in the Democratic Republic of Congo's capitol of Kinshasa attended the funeral of one of the top rights activists in the country, Floribert Chebeya. Chebeya, who faced harassment after campaigning against arbitrary killings and torture of political dissidents, was found dead in his car after being summoned to meet the chief of the national police.
