I hope the USDA does not consider this ORGANIC. They need a new name, salmon is not salmon eel!

Here's a thought. Pass a law mandating that those responsible
for the genetic modification be the first to eat those salmon,
and until the long term effects of that consumption is measured
on them, and compared to another experimental group eating
it by yet a neutral party impartial to the results-don't allow it to
be consumed by the public. And don't allow those fish to mate
with other salmon under any circumstance anyway. I bet if they
made that law enforced, noone greasing the palms of any FDA
officials, no closed door back room shady deals, no cronyism
would matter so criticaly as it has in the past 106 years since
the Pure Food & Drug Act was first implemented, then next
corrupted. I trust nature to be safe. But human monkies motivated
by greed ? Not on your life. And not in this lifetime or any other
GMO scumbags. Dreadfuly sorry I couldn't sugarcoat it more than
that for you Monsanto. - 1 year ago

You obviously haven't developed a taste for marine fish yet.
And even more obviously have never eaten it when you're
genuinely hungry. My definition of being realy hungry doesn't
equate to simply feeling like you could eat something. It's means
either working so hard you had to skip some meals to get an
important job done, or being food deprived. Most edible things
do taste great when you're realy hungry. - 1 year ago

As I understand it, GMOs are only harmful depending on what they have been modified for.
For example, GMO corn modified to be resistant to certain insects was found to be dangerous when consumed by mammals.http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6T6P-4GV2NS2-4&.../28/2006&_rdoc=1&_fmt=high&_orig=search&_sort=d&_docanchor=&view=c&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=10&md5=ff715c715d2582367ed25a49d1747e0e
But, these salmon were modified to grow faster, not to be resistant to anything. There has to be a sound and valid study done before you can deem this healthy or not.
I wonder if they'd have less heavy metals in them since they'd be twice as young when mature.

i adventure into the forest every day, my forest, with the plants and animals i know. I dont like the south, the people tend to be a bit backward and there are lots of snakes, i really have to admit its mostly the snakes, i really really really, do not like snakes. did you know there is a church down south that as part of their service they handle live venomous snakes, ok it's weird and creepy, and im not judgeing the whole south based on one encounter with animal planet, its just i can't be close to all that snakeyness.

Well just because his brother is also his uncle shouldn't effect him to much. I'm telling ya man the snakes are more scared of you than you are of them. Beside there are only two kinds of snakes here in the south that will hurt Ya the live ones and the dead ones other than that Your pretty safe

my that does look like a pristine little vacation spot, and a fishing problem isnt a problem until someone tells you it is and then you just need to shut them up, no longer a prblem.
