    • "With the pages of mainstream political magazines typically off-limits to their views (National Review editor William F. Buckley having famously denounced the John Birch Society), hardline conservatives resorted to putting out their own, less glossy publications. These were often paranoid and rambling--dominated by talk of international banking conspiracies, the Trilateral Commission’s plans for world government, and warnings about coming Armageddon--but some of them had wide and devoted audiences. And a few of the most prominent bore the name of Ron Paul."

"But, whoever actually wrote them, the newsletters I saw all had one thing in common: They were published under a banner containing Paul’s name, and the articles (except for one special edition of a newsletter that contained the byline of another writer) seem designed to create the impression that they were written by him--and reflected his views. What they reveal are decades worth of obsession with conspiracies, sympathy for the right-wing militia movement, and deeply held bigotry against blacks, Jews, and gays. In short, they suggest that Ron Paul is not the plain-speaking antiwar activist his supporters believe they are backing--but rather a member in good standing of some of the oldest and ugliest traditions in American politics."

You and Unimatrix have a lot in common. You don't really offer much to the discussion, but throw in a whole bunch of fallacious arguments into the mix. Dude, I think you two ought to hook up.

    • They DO have AK47's and IED's. slightly worse than a few tanks and planes, methinks. We need a policy-change, he says? What new policy could possibly make this war any simpler? Hopefully he outlines that in his next 2-minute speech.
I always kind of liked Ron Paul and his ideas, but he's become too much of an icon for conspiracy theorists and wannabe reformists. Pointing out this obvious problem and not offering a solution isn't helpful.

    • what does the republican ron paul stand for? nothing is everything? obama set a pull out date for the war in Afghanistan! what more do you neocons need?

"But even if Obama sacks his Afghanistan commander, McChrystal’s comments have laid bare a nasty internal battle among members of Obama’s joint military-civilian Afghanistan team that is splintered by personality conflicts and divided over how to end the longest war in American history.

Underlying everything is a far bigger problem. Obama’s strategy of shifting the military’s focus — and 30,000 troops — from Iraq to Afghanistan hasn’t yet yielded a major breakthrough. And it’s not clear how many troops he will be able to pull out of the country by next July, his self-imposed deadline for commencing withdrawal."

      Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0610/38852.html#ixzz0sqBrUiDP

win or lose, you neo cons will never be happy because your cult of personality leader will always be feeding off your worshiping of him as a symbol of discontent.

if you support ron paul you support the republican party!

great job! and thanks for the circle jerk. its always an honor to shove that hair even deeper up your asses! i love to watch you neocons whine like little piglets.

Just to clarify, anarchy is not no law, it is just a society without violence.

Anarchy still follows Natural Law, it has nothing to do with a lawless society, just a violence free society (no government coercion).

The mainstream gives anarchy a false definition when it correlates it with chaos. If anything, bureaucrats creating laws at will is what leads to instability and uncertainty. That is the real root of chaos...not free societies. Anarchy focuses on individuals rights. Statism focuses on how to use threats of violence on the peaceful population.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A series of newsletters in the name of GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul contain several racist remarks -- including one that says order was restored to Los Angeles after the 1992 riots when blacks went "to pick up their welfare checks."

This is a copy of one of the "Ron Paul Political Report" newsletters, which has stirred controversy.

1 of 2 CNN recently obtained the newsletters -- written in the 1990s and one from the late 1980s -- after a report was published about their existence in The New Republic.

None of the newsletters CNN found says who wrote them, but each was published under Paul's name between his stints as a U.S. congressman from Texas.

Paul told CNN's "The Situation Room" Thursday that he didn't write any of the offensive articles and has "no idea" who did.

So, he's like Nixon too? he is clueless to any wrong doing?

No, he admitted to the wrongdoing. He admits that he should of kept a better eye on his newsletters and apologizes that this material came out of his newsletters decades ago when he was working not only as a doctor (in which he helped the poor voluntarily without compensation) and while he was defending Freedom for ALL in D.C. from the corrupt republicans and democrats. Even a director from the NAACP, a good friend of Dr Paul's has come to his defense. Peace

If this is the only ammo you've got, you've lost before you even started.

Are you actually arguing against what Paul is saying in the video? You want a prolonged war? You want more of our soldiers, AND innocent civilians to die? All the more costing us valuable resources at home?

Stay on topic homie, and you might impress more people.

    • After celebrating today, I am reminded of how many freedoms we have given up so that this area can have freedom. Since its birth America has wiped out indigenous lifestyles to obtain resources. I believe freedom and resources is what this war is about.

People are slowly waking up. Even those fighting against it are aiding in its popularity. This is truly one way to win back our freedom, and start making sense in this country. Spread the message of peace, love, and freedom for all!

Democracy is abuse against individual rights. If 51% of the population votes that you HAVE to wear your hair a certain way.... democracy wins, but your individual right loses. Democracy is not nirvana, nor is anything. The best we can do is push for a free and voluntary, peaceful society. Government is terrorism, nothing more, nothing less. This is the truth the republicans and democrats don't want to admit to....

    • " There is no instance of a nation benefiting from prolonged warfare."

Sun Tzu said this nearly 2500 years ago and still the mighty has yet to listen.
If the hawks want more proof of what wasting national treasure will lead to, all one has to do is take a look back at the Soviet Union.

How did it turn out for that superpower - oh yeah the Soviet Union no longer exist. For the simple reason, they spent themselves into oblivion and when there was no more - they imploded.
Look around the U.S. all the deficits (state and national), all the joblessness, all the corporate greed gutting the infrastructure and to top it all off the war mongering of the military elites.
For crying out loud California just tried to slash all the state workers pay to a draconian level.

Yet the media spins a rosy picture of all the wall street gains and how it will soon trickle down.
Fuck it has been trickling down since Reagan and has not got here yet.

Oh well, I hope the worlds only superpower does not go supernova and fall in on itself - like a dead star that has exhausted all of its' hydrogen.

** Lastly, if they have not accomplished what their goals were in 9 years. When do they plan on accomplishing them ?

    • I can't see how so many people take issue with a politician standing up and pointing out the SHIT, and wanting to end it...

Are the politicians you're favoring actually even telling it like it is?

No Paul isn't perfect, but is everyone really happy with Obama continuing Orwellian, imperialistic bullshit?

Obama will be calling for random drug testing for anyone who wants a drivers license, and a damn detailed government record of every website you visit and every comment you make before much longer at this rate...

(and in case they've already started FUCK YOU)

Do we really need 700 military bases in 130 countries?

    • "Could it all be a bad dream, or a nightmare? Is it my imagination, or have we lost our minds? It's surreal; it's just not believable. A grand absurdity; a great deception, a delusion of momentous proportions; based on preposterous notions; and on ideas whose time should never have come. "

"Simplicity grossly distorted and complicated; insanity passed off as logic; grandiose schemes built on falsehoods with the morality of Ponzi and Madoff; evil described as virtue; ignorance pawned off as wisdom; destruction and impoverishment in the name of humanitarianism; violence, the tool of change; preventive wars used as the road to peace; tolerance delivered by government guns; reactionary views in the guise of progress; an empire replacing the Republic; slavery sold as liberty; excellence and virtue traded for mediocracy; socialism to save capitalism; a government out of control, unrestrained by the Constitution, the rule of law, or morality; bickering over petty politics as we collapse into chaos; the philosophy that destroys us is not even defined."

"We have broken from reality--a psychotic Nation. Ignorance with a pretense of knowledge replacing wisdom. Money does not grow on trees, nor does prosperity come from a government printing press or escalating deficits."

"We're now in the midst of unlimited spending of the people's money, exorbitant taxation, deficits of trillions of dollars--spent on a failed welfare/warfare state; an epidemic of cronyism; unlimited supplies of paper money equated with wealth."

"A central bank that deliberately destroys the value of the currency in secrecy, without restraint, without nary a whimper. Yet, cheered on by the pseudo-capitalists of Wall Street, the military industrial complex, and Detroit."

"We police our world empire with troops on 700 bases and in 130 countries around the world. A dangerous war now spreads throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. Thousands of innocent people being killed, as we become known as the torturers of the 21st century."

"We assume that by keeping the already-known torture pictures from the public's eye, we will be remembered only as a generous and good people. If our enemies want to attack us only because we are free and rich, proof of torture would be irrelevant."

"The sad part of all this is that we have forgotten what made America great, good, and prosperous. We need to quickly refresh our memories and once again reinvigorate our love, understanding, and confidence in liberty. The status quo cannot be maintained, considering the current conditions. Violence and lost liberty will result without some revolutionary thinking."

"We must escape from the madness of crowds now gathering. The good news is the reversal is achievable through peaceful and intellectual means and, fortunately, the number of those who care are growing exponentially."

"Of course, it could all be a bad dream, a nightmare, and that I'm seriously mistaken, overreacting, and that my worries are unfounded. I hope so. But just in case, we ought to prepare ourselves for revolutionary changes in the not-too-distant future."
